A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING
AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA AND THE AMERICAN
FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES FROM
JULY 1, 2023, THROUGH JUNE 30, 2028
Whereas, the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa ("City") first entered into a contract
agreement with the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees
Council 61 ("AFSCME") acting on behalf of the City employees on July 1, 2015; and,
Whereas, the current collective bargaining agreement is scheduled to expire on June
30, 2023; and,
Whereas, the City of Tiffin and AFSCME has actively negotiated the changes and
updates to the existing agreement,
Now, therefore be it resolved by the City Council of the City of Tiffin, Iowa to approve
the Collective Bargaining Agreement Between the City of Tiffin and American
Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees from July 1, 2023 — June 30,
2028, and to authorize the Mayor and the negotiating committee to sign and City Clerk
to attest said agreement, which is attached hereto and made a part of this resolution.
On the 20th day of June, 2023, at a regular meeting of the Tiffin City Council, Tiffin,
Iowa, Councilperson Limkemann introduced RESOLUTION NO. 2023-043, A
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF TIFFIN, IOWA AND THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF
STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEES FROM JULY 1, 2023, THROUGH
JUNE 30, 2028, and made a motion for approval. Motion seconded by Councilperson
Havens.
Ayes: Schnedler, Limkemann, Havens, Orris. Olney.
Nays: None.
Absent: None.
Whereupon ;` , Council members were present and voted approval and Mayor
Berner declared that the RESOLUTION NO. 2023-043, A RESOLUTION APPROVING
THE COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF TIFFIN,
IOWA AND THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF STATE, COUNTY AND MUNICIPAL
EMPLOYEES FROM JULY 1, 2023, THROUGH JUNE 30, 2028, to be adopted and
signified his approval of the same by affixing his signature thereto.
Passed by the City Council on the 20th day of June, 2023.
