ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JUNE 4, 1976
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an adjourned
regular session in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, on
above date at 4:30 p.m.
Mayor Rowe in the chair.
Councilmen Byork, Green, Higgins, Morris and Rowe answered
the roll call.
The request of Economic Resources Corporation for a six-
month extension of agreement for traffic signal improvement
at Industry Way and Alameda Street was presented. It was
moved by Councilman Byork, seconded by Councilman Higgins,
that the Council grant the six-month extension contingent
on receipt of the required performance bond.

Ayes: Councilmen Byork, Green, Higgins, Morris, Rowe.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
In response to an inquiry from Councilman Morris,
Mr. Andrew Swan of the Engineering Department, explained
how responsibilities relating to the City's public works
projects would be carried out.
The meeting was adjourned to executive session for
personnel matters. Following the executive session, the
meeting was called to order.
It was moved by Councilman Higgins, seconded by Councilman
Morris, that the City Clerk be paid $463.50 for additional
duties performed in May and that $700 per month be paid
for special assignment of Acting City Manager for a period
not to exceed three months.

Absent: None.
It was moved by Councilman Morris, seconded by Councilman
Higgins, that the Council approve delegation by the
Acting City Manager of the matters needed in the performance
of her duties.

Absent: None.
The City Council was informed that the Parks and Recreation
Department and the Water Department have submitted budget
requests for replacement of Cushman Scooters and that the
Southeast Mosquito Abatement District from whom the City has
purchased used equipment in the past, has available four
vehicles which may be suitable for replacement of the
Cushman equipment. It was the consensus of the Council that
intent to purchase be expressed to the District in order
that the vehicles would be held until such time as a budget
determination can be made.
The meeting was adjourned to executive session for matters
of meet and confer. Following the executive session, the
meeting was called to order.

It was moved by Councilman Morris, seconded by Councilman
Byork, that representatives of Public Management Services,
Inc. be asked to meet with the Council on June 11 to negotiate
for service to undertake recruitment of candidates for the
position of City Manager.

Noes: Councilman Rowe.
Absent: None.
