ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JUNE 18, 1976
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an
adjourned regular session in the City Hall, 11330
Bullis Road, on above date at 4:30 p.m.
Mayor Rowe in the chair.
Councilmen Byork, Green,
answered the roll call.
Also present was Acting
Higgins, Morris and Rowe
City Manager Shepherd.
The meeting was adjourned to executive session
for personnel matters. Following the executive
session, the meeting was called to order at 4:45 p.m.
The City Council approved the Fourth of July Program
to be sponsored by the Lynwood Jaycees.
Mr. Lyle Cunningham, Public Management Services, Inc.,
discussed the services to be provided for the
recruitment of a City Manager. The Council authorized
Mr. Cunningham to readvertise in order to give more
information regarding the City of Lynwood, specific
qualificationssought and salary range. In response to
Mr. Cunningham's request, the Council discussed
specific qualifications.
Mr. Emmett Schwartz, 12001 Long Beach Boulevard, and
Mr. Robert Syfritt, 12050 Chatsworth, Granada Hills,
discussed two proposalsfor municipal liability
insurance. Copies of the proposals were provided
to the Council members.
Councilmen Green and Byork left the meeting at
6:00 and 6:05 p.m., respectively.
After discussing the various insurance programs
presented, it was the consensus that no decision
should be made until the full Council was present.
It was moved by Councilman Morris, seconded by
Councilman Higgins, that the meeting adjourn to
June 22, 1976, at 4:30 p.m.
