ADJOURNED REGULAR MEETING JUNE 22, 1976
The City Council of the City of Lynwood met in an adjourned
regular session in the City Hall, 11330 Bullis Road, on above
date at 4:30 p.m.
Mayor Rowe in the chair.
Councilmen Byork, Green, Higgins, Morris and Rowe answered
the roll call.
Also present were Acting City Manager Shepherd and
City Attorney Tom Clark.
The Mayor declared a ten-minute recess. Following the recess,
the meeting was again called to order.
Mr. Robert Syfritt, 12050 Chatsworth, Granada Hills, and
Mr. Emmett Schwartz, 12001 Long Beach Boulevard, reviewed the
insurance proposals presented at the adjourned regular meeting
of June 18, 1976 and offered an alternative proposal of a
$5,000 deductible policy at a cost of $202,000 for $3,000,000
limits. Under this plan, the insurance carrier will pay
legal expenses. Mr. Syfritt stated he is renegotiating the
$4,500 charge for administrative services.
Mr. Syfritt and Mr. Schwartz discussed the safety program
they will initiate and advised the Council they would be
involved personally in its operation.
It was moved by Councilman Morris, seconded by Councilman
Byork, that the City Council consider the insurance program
with the $5,000 deductible as presented by the broker.
Roll Call:
Ayes: Councilmen Byork, Higgins, Morris, Rowe.
Noes: Councilman Green.
Absent: None.
It was moved by Councilman Higgins, seconded by Councilman
Byork, and carried, that the meeting be adjourned to
June 29, 1976 at 4:30 p.m.
