GENERAL UTILITY NOTES:
1. CONTRACTOR IS TO COORDINATE ALL GAS, LIGHTING,
ELECTRICAL, PHONE CABLE AND ANY OTHER REQUIRED
UTILITIES WITH THE APPROPRIATE UTILITY AGENCIES.
2. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LOCATING ALL
EXISTING UTILITIES PRIOR TO COMMENCING OF CONSTRUCTION
ACTIVITIES AND FOR AVOIDING CONFLICT WITH SAME. ANY

7. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DEVELOPING HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL
CONTROL ON THE SITE BASED ON EXISTING MONUMENTS, ALL COSTS INVOLVED IN
LOCATING THE EXISTING MONUMENTS AND CARRYING THE STAKING LAYOUT TO THE
SITE SHALL BE BORNE BY THE CONTRACTOR.
8. CONTRACTOR IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LOCATING ALL EXISTING UTILITIES PRIOR TO
COMMENCING OF CONSTRUCTION AND FOR AVOIDING CONFLICT WITH SAME, ANY DAMAGE

SPECIAL WATER LINE NOTES :
1, Pipe, fittings, valves and other accessories shalt, unless otherwise
directed, be unloaded at the point of delivery and stored where they
will be protected and will not be hazordous to traffic. They shall at
all times be handled with care to avoid damage. The interior of all pipe,
fittings and other accessories shalt be kept free from dirt and foreign
matter qt all times.
2, Any defective, damaged, or unsound pipe shalt be rejected, Alt foreign
matter or dirt shalt be removed from the inside of' the pipe before it is
Lowered into it's position in the trench and shall be kept clean by approved
means during and after laying. Care shall be taken to prevent dirt from
entering the joint space. During installation, when pipe laying is not in
progress, a mechanical joint plug or cap, or approved actual, will be used
to form a water tight seal at both ends of the Line being laid and no trench
water shalt be permitted to enter the pipe,
3. Clean the interiors of all pipe by brushing, swabbing or washing out all
dirt before placement,
4. Flush the new pipe tines until the water runs clear at the end of all
mains and Laterals. This should be done after the pressure test and
before disinfection, Minimum flush time and velocity ore to be 2,5 fps
which is necessary to purge the line of foreign material.
SPECIAL CONSTRUCTION NOTE:
IF ANY DISCREPANCIES BETWEEN THE PLANS OR CONSTRUCTION STAKES
AND ACTUAL SITE CONDITIONS ARE ENCOUNTERD DURING THE COURSE OF
CONSTRUCTION, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL NOTIFY THE ENGINEER, SURVEYOR
OR OWNER OR HIS REPRESENTATIVE PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTING SAID
INCONSISTANT ENTITY. IF THE CONTRACTOR KNOWS OR CAN RESONABLY
BE EXPECTED TO HAVE KNOWN OF AN ERROR, DISCREPANCY OR CONFLICT
IN THE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS OR CONSTRUCTION STAKING AND FAILS TO
REPORT THE PROBLEM PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION, HE SHALL NOT BE ENTITLED
TO COMPENSATION FOR ANY WORK OR EXPENSE INCURRED BY HIM FOR WORK
REQUIRED TO BE RE- CONSTRUCTED BECAUSE OF SAID ERROR, DISCREPANCY
OR CONFLICT.
