A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO,
REGARDING THE SUBMISSION OF A TRANSPORTATION ENHANCMENT PROGRAM
APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL AID FUNDING THROUGH THE IDAHO DEPARTMENT
OF TRANSPORTATION, PROVIDING FOR RELATED MATTERS, AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the McCall City Council wishes to support efforts that promote facility and
infrastructure improvements that benefit the citizens and visitors of McCall; and
WHEREAS, the McCall Area Comprehensive Plan (2007) and the McCall Bike Path Master
Plan (2005) document the need and support the creation of pedestrian and bicycle facilities in the
McCall area; and
WHEREAS, one identified priority project for pathway improvements is the portion along East
Deinhard Lane in McCall from the McCall Post Office to Samson Trail; and
WHEREAS, the Idaho Transportation Department, hereafter called the STATE, administers
federal aid funding that provides for bicycle and pedestrian pathways which is known as the
Transportation Enhancement Program; and
WHEREAS, the federal aid limit of such funding is $500,000 per project; and
WHEREAS, there are matching fund requirements for the City of McCall to participate in such
federal aid funding projects; and
WHEREAS, the CITY supports the proposed Transportation Enhancement project on East
Deinhard Lane and has the legal authority to apply for and pledge the funds required to receive
reimbursement for the requested funds and that will provide maintenance for all infrastructure
improvements upon completion; and
WHEREAS, the City understands that this application is not a grant application and is a request
for reimbursement through the federal aid system and that all federal rules for contracting,
auditing and paying will apply to the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
1. That the submission of the Transportation Enhancement application for East Deinhard
Lane is hereby approved.
2. That the Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute the Agreement on
behalf of the CITY with the STATE if funds are awarded for the project.
3. That this resolution shall be in full force and effect upon its passage and approval.
