CALL TO ORDER
A Special Council Meeting of June 12, 1995, was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor
Duane Schreimann presiding.
ROLL CALL
The following Council Members were present for roll call:
Present: Byrd, Haake, Jackson, Kammerdiener, Landwehr, McDowell, Nilges
and Vincent
Absent: Bertel and Green
A quorum was declared present.
BILLS PENDING
Bill 95 -20, sponsored by Councilmen Nilges and Bertel, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, CALLING AN ELECTION
UPON THE ISSUE OF ALLOWING LICENSING OF EXCURSION GAMBLING BOATS
AND FLOATING FACILITIES IN THE CITY.
Councilman Nilges moved that the ballot language in both Section 1 and Section 2 of Bill
95 -20 be amended as follows:

boats, sShall the City of Jefferson allow the licensing of excursion gambling
boats afre4 or floating facilities, as now or hereafter provided by Missouri
gaming law, in the City of Jefferson?
Motion to amend was seconded by Councilman Vincent, and approved. Following
discussion, Councilman Jackson called for the question. The call for the question was
approved unanimously. Bill 95 -20, as amended, was defeated by the following roll -call
vote:
Aye: Kammerdiener, Landwehr, Nilges and Vincent
Nay: Byrd, Haake, Jackson and McDowell
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business to come before the Council at this time, Councilman
Jackson moved that the meeting be adjourned, motion was seconded by Councilman
Vincent, and approved unanimously.
