The Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood
met pursuant to adjournment at the above time
and place.
Roll Call:

Present: Trustees Beymer, Kerr, Merrill,
Pettycrew and White.
ACCEPTANCE OF
DEED OF LYN~IOOD
COMPANY TO CITY
OF LYN~IOOD.
Present City Clerk and City ,Attorney.
The minutes of meeting held on Wednesday, July
20th, 1921, $t 7:30 P. M. were read and approved
as read.
P~Ioved that the deed presented by the Lynwood
Company to the City of Lynwood conveying to said
City its Dater Distributing System, pumping
plants and lots on which said pumping plants
are situated, and also certain other real estate
therein described for park and street purposes,
certain
and also,~other real estate for municipal pur-
poses, and upon condition that the City assume
payment of operating expenses on said pumping
accru d since June lst, 1921,
plants and water system amounting to the sum
of $444.15 be accepted and that the City here-
by agree to pay such operating expenses as soon
as funds are on hand for payment, and on or be-

fore January 1, 1923, City to assume payment of
taxes for fiscal year 1921-1922, not now payable, and
the City Clerk is hereby instructed to have said
deed duly recorded in the County Reco rder's office
and the certificate of title on said real estate
to be duly filed in the office of the City Clerk.
Carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Be er, Kerr, Merrill, Pettycrew
and White.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.

Trustee White presented a Resolution entitled,
"A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE
CITY OF LYNROOD CREATING A MATER DEPARTMENT
FOR SAID CITY AND ESTABLISHING RATER RATES
ANB REGULATIONS FOR RATER SERVICE IN SAiD CITY."
ADOPTION OF The same was read by the Clerk.
RESOLUTION
N0. 3. On motion said Resolution was adopted by the
following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Beymer, Kerr, Merrill, Petty-
crew, and White.
Noes: None.
Absent: None.
Said Resolution being Resolution No. 3 of the
City of Lynwood.
It was moved that the Municipal dater System
be placed in the hands of the Public Works
Committee for temporary operation and that
they have power to act until permanent appoint-

it was moved and carried that an Ordinance
entitled, "AN ORDINANCE FIXING THE TTME AND
PLACE OF HOLDING MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF LYNW'OOD, CALIFORNIA",
FIRST READING OF
ORDINANCE N0. 1. be taken up for its first reading. Said
Ordinance was then read by the Clerk and it
was moved. that said Ordinance be declared read
for the first time and laid over until the
next regular meeting. Carried.
FIRST READING OF
ORDINANCE N0. 2.
It was moved and carried that an Ordinance
entitled, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE ?iOARD OF
TRUSTEES OF THE. CITY OF LYN~OOD, CALIFORNIA,
ADOPTING? A COMMON SEAL FOR SAID CITY" , be
taken up for its first reading. Said Ordi-
nance was then read by the Clerk and it was
moped that said Ordinance be declared.. read
for the first time and laid over until the
next regular meeting. Carried.
~t was moved and carried that the matter of
IN RE SAFE buying a safe for use of the City was referred
REFERRED TO FINANCE
AND AUDITING COMMITTEE. to the Finance and Auditing Committee to
investigate and report.
On motion the Board adjourned to meet at
ADJOURNMENT. this place on Friday, July 29th, 1921,
at 7:30 P. M.
