The Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood < - met pursuant to adjournment at the above time and place. Roll Call: APPT'.OVAL OF MINUTES. ACCEPTANCE OF DEEDS CONVEYING NORTON ALL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF LYN~OOD. Present; Trustees Beymer, Kerr, Merrill, Pettycrew and White. City Attorney and City Clerk present. The minutes of meetings held on ~tednesday, July 2'7th, 1921, and r'riday, July 29th, 1921. were read, and on motion duly made and carried were approved as read. Deeds were presented to the Board conveying the Norton well property and water distributing system to the City of Lynwood. It was moved that sail deeds be acce~~dd as of July. 30th, 1921. and the City Clerk instructed to has~e the same re- corded in the County T?ecorder~s office and the Certificate o~ 't'itle placed on file in his office and that the City assume the payment of operating expenses of said water system accrued since July 20th, 1921. Carried.by the following vote; Ayes: Trustees Beymer, Kerr, Merrill, Petty- crew, and White. F Noes; None. Absent: None. Communication was received from the State CO1ll~UNICATION FROM Compensation Insurance Fund regarding insurance STATE COMPENSATION INSURANCE FUND. and referred to the City Attorney to be reported on at the next meeting. It was moved and carried that Ordinance No. 1 entitled, "'AN 0?~DINANCE FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE ,~ 1t~ A' ~l OF HOLDING MEETINGS OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF LYN~OOD, CALIFORNIA", be taken up for its second reading. Said Ordinance was then read by the Clerk for the second time, and, upon motion ;duly made and carried, said ADOPTION OF ~. ORDINANCE N0. 1. Ordinance was declared read for the second time and taken up for its third reading and final passage. Said. Ordinance was then read by the Clerk for the third time, and, upon motion, was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Beymer, Kerr, Merrill, Pettycrew and ~ihite. Noes:~ None. Absent: None. It was moved and carried that Ordinance No. 2 entitled, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIF- OF,NIA, ADOPTING A COR-~ZON SEAL I'OR SAID CITY', be taken up for its second reading. Said ADOPTION OF Ordinance was then read by the Clerk for the ORDINANCE N0. 2. second time, and, upon motion duly made and carried, said Ordinance was declared read for the second time and taken up for its third rea~.ing and final passage. Said Ordinance was then read by the Clerk for the third time, and upon motion, was adapted by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Beymer, Kerr, Merrill, Pettycrew and V'Phite. hToes: None. SOCP~E~L TO THE OFFICE OF CITY RECORDER OF SAID CITY, AND FIXING HIS SALARY OR COMPENSATION", Said Resolution was then read bq the Clerk and it was moved that the sane be adopted. Carried bq the following vote: .__. fires: Trustees Begmer, Kerr, Merrill. - Pettgcrew and White. Noes: None. Absent: None. Said Resolution as adopted being Resolution ` No. 4 of the Citq of Lgnxood. Trustee Begmer presented a Resolution entitled, "A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPOINTING G. H. RO~YLEY CITY MARSHAL AND SUPERINTENDENT t OF THE WATER DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF LYN- WOOD, AND FIXING HIS SALARY ~OR C0~~2PENSATION ADOPTION OF ~-' RESOLUTION N0. 5. FOR SUCH OFFICES". Said Resolution was then read bq the Clerk and it was moved that the same be adopted. Carried bq the following vote: Ages: Trustees Begmer, Merrill, Kerr, Pettgcrew and Wriite. Noss: None. Absent: None. ~_ Said Resolution, as adopted, being Reso- l~tion No. 5 of the Citq of Lgnwood. On motion an Ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF TiiE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA,~PROVIDING FOR FIRST READING OF OFFICIAL BONDS OF CERTAIN CITY OFFICERS AND ORDINANCE PROVID- ING FOR OFFICIAL FIXING THE AMOUNT OF SUCH BONDS, AND ALSO BONDS OF CITY OFFI- CERS AND FIXING THE FIXING THE SALARY OF THE CITY CLERK, THE CITY SALARIES OF CITY CLERK, CITY MARSHAL MARSHAL, AND THE CITY TREASURER OF SAID CITY AND CITY TREASURER. OF LYN~t00D", was taken up for its first reading. Said Ordinance was then read by the Clerk, and ~~ __ _ SUPERINTENDENT OF MATER DEPT. AUTHORIZED TO PURCHASE SUPPLIES. ,~:~ w ~~~ it was moved that said Ordinance be declared read for the first time and laid over until the next regular meeting. Carried. It was moved that the Superintendent of the 9~ater Department be authorized to purchase ~-- supplies necessary for making immediate re- pairs to the Mater System at an expense of not exceeding $25.00. Carried by the follow- ing vote: Ayes: 't'rustees Beymer, Kerr, Merrill, Pettycrew and ~~hite. Noes: None.
