Trustee Merrill suggested that compensation be made to the Superintendent of the 9~atar Depart- AUTO EXPFNSB meat for gasoline and other expenses of operating OF ~AT~;R SUPT. his own ear in serving th.e City. The matter was referred to the Committee on Public ~+orks to be ~- reported on at next meeting. Trustee Beymer, Chairman of Finance Committee, reported a sufYicient cabinet safe could bs bought for 250.00 on thQ following t3rm$; 7.00,00 dawn ~ and the balance in monthly installments of 50.00 CABINET SAFE. each until paid. Motion made by Trustee Beymer and seconded by Trustee White that the safe be bought. Motion carried by thQ following vote: Ayee: Trustees Beyrner, Merrill, V~hite and Pettycrew. Noes: None. Absent; Trustee Kerr. Trustee Merrill, Chairman of Public Works Committee, reported the hiring of Fred belch as T~~'MP0:3ARY temporary pumpman at the Norton v~ell, as an emer- Pt1MPMAN AT NORTON WN~L. gency measure, at a salary of X15.00 per month.. Motion made b- Trustee Merrill and seconded by Trustee Beymer that thA action of the Public ~iorks Committee be approved and confirmed. It ~avas moved and parried that an Ordinance entitled, "AN ORDINeNCt~ OF THE' BOARD OF TRUS- TEES OF THE CITY OF LYN~VOOD; CALIFORNIA, PROVIDING FOR OFFICIAL BONDS OF CF,RTAIN CITY OFFICER:, AND FIXING THE AMOUNT OF SUCH BONDS AND ALSO FIXING TIiF SALARY OF THE' CITY CLw~RK, THE CITY ~1IARSHAL, AND THR CITY TR~:ASURER OF ORDINANCE N0. 3 SAID CITY OF LYN~POOD", be taken up for its ADO P'l~ED second reading. Said Ordinance was then read by the Clerk for the second time anal upon motion duly made and carried said Ordinance was then declared read for the second time and taken up for its third reading and final pas- sage. Said Ordinance was then read by the Cle rk for the third time and upon motion was adopted by the following vote; Ayes: Trustees Beymer, Merrill, VPhite and ~F u:Ai -*., Pettyerew. Noa$; None.
