The Board of Trustees of the City of Linwood met, pursu-
and to adjonrnt, at the above time and place.
ROLL CALL: Present, Trustees Merrill, Tti%1cGord and
Pettycrew
Absent, Trustees Wall and Z~Ihite.
City Attorney absent. Git~ Clerk present.
The minutes of the meeting held on Wednesday, Januar,q
18, 1922, were read by the Clerk, and on motion, were
approved as read.
The Water Glerk reported that he had collected,
since January 17, 1922, x'76.55 water fund, and~''20.00
water tap fund, and had paid the same into the City
Treasury, leaving no balance on hand.
A petition was presented to the Board, signed b~
five citizens, residing in the south end of L~'nwood,
on Euclid Avenue, ask3.ng that aro lights be installed
near their property.
±l~oved and carried that the petition requesting
are lights be placed on Euclid Avenue, in the south
end of L~rnwood, be tabled.
The Cit~t Attorne~r, through Frederick Baker, Jr.,
presented a Resolution entitled
"A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF TRTTSTEES OF THE
CITY OF I,YNP~OOD REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES TO
PAY TO SAID CITY THE ~~ONEY COLLECTED BY SAID COUNTY FROM
TAXES FOR ROAD PURPOSES ON PROPERTY SITUATED WITHIN THE
BOUNDARIES OF SAID 1VIUNICIPALITY, AND AGREEING TO REIM-
BURSE A1ID REPAY SAID COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES SUCH ~~t10NEY,
IN THE EVENT THAT TT SHALL BE DETvR~.'aNED OR ADJTTDGED TH.iT
SUCH PANT ti9AS ILLEG_~iL AND THAT SAID COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES IS OBLIGATED TO REPAY OR REFUND THE SAIVTa TO TH.~

Said Resolution was then read by the City Clerk, Moved
that said Resolution be adopted as read• Carried by
the following vote:
.AYES: Trustees Merrill, McCord and Pettycrew.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Trustees Mall and 1Ahite.

Dr. Bell, Cit~t Health Officer, reported on the sanitary
conditions in the City of Lynwood, s.nd especially with
reference to plumbing and cess pools, and reported that
the plumbing in the Lynwood school building and grounds

children.
Moved that Dr. Bell be instr~?cted to notify the school
beard of the bad sanitary condition at the school house,
and demand immediate action; otherwise to take it to the
County authorities. Carried.
Mr. J. C. Reber suggeste~ the advisability of establishing
