` The Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood met
pursuant to adjournment at the above time and place.
Roll Call: Present,Trust,ee Willard,
Menzel,Anderson and Merr ill. Absent, Trustee Rehf
Presid Anderson in the chair.'Prustee Menzel filling
the position of Clerk.
Minutes of last meeting read and approved.
Moved and carried that regular business be dispensed
with to take up new business.
Mr.Fred 1".',7elch was nominated for the
position of City Clerk and Recorder to take the place
of Jos. H. Murray, deceased. It was moved and carried that
r;
Mr.Welch be appointed City Clerk and Recorder of the
City of Lynwood to hold office until the next city
w election.
Ayes: Trustee lterr ill ,Willard, Anderson and Menzel
Noes: None
Absent: Trustee lllehfeld.
Nlr.Welch being in waiting it was moved
and carried that he take the oath of office,which he
did,and he immediately commenced in the discharge of
his duties as Clerk and Recorder of the City of Lynwood.
PyToved and Carried that Mr,W,A.Souders,
be eommisioned to examine and audit, the books of the
City of Lynwood from the date of its Incorporation
to the present time.Compensation to be one dollar per
hour for himself and one dollar per hour for his assis-
tant.14r.Sowders to employ his own help.

City = 'Ittorney,read by the Clerk.Letter in regard to
Mr.Thomas meeting with the Board at the next regular
session, evening,Feb. 25,1923 at 7:30 P.14,
Clerk . instructed to notify P)b%Thomas it will not be
neccessary for him to be on hand at that time.
Communication from Vr.Thomas enclosing copy
of letter he had written to Mr.G. "'.Rehf.eld.Letter read by
the Clerk and ordered placed on file.
It was moved and carried that 7 7.' 7 .Chapman
is hereby appointed " ,later Clerk of the City of Lynwood,
at a salary of 025.00 per month.
