Anderson. . Absent, Trustee Rdenzel. President Anderson in the Chair. Clerk present. Minutes The minutes of the meeting of Oct 3,were read and annroved. A communication regarding the continuous ringing of the warning bell at the Long Beach Bivd and P C crossing.was read.. This matter having been already taken up with the P F, same was ordered filed. .1 Oral Coms Messrs. Cox, Estes, Downey, Csood, Anderson addressed the Board regarding the incorporation of their sub - divisions into the City. Asking that they be paid for their water systems the event of their coming in. Action was deferred. Spec Com Trustee 'Millard reported that no further progress had been made it the strallitnin of Carlin and Ma nolia C) 1 75 P Unfin Bus An offer, from C F Everett, Fire Chief of the City of Lompoc to sell the City a hose reel and describing same, was read. A motion by Trustee Nillard, seconded. by Trustee. Merrill, that the Clerk be ` authorized to purchase same and that a warrant for the purchase price,' t55, be drawn, was carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Merrill, 11illard, Downey. Anderson. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee Menzel. Map of Tract 5632 having been passed by the Planning Commis- sion, same was accepted and ordered returned. This being the time and place set for the haaring'of protests or objections against the improvement or the extent of the district, or both, under Resolution of Intention No. 127, the bllaek announced that there were no protests or objections filed; whereupon the Presi- dent inquired if any persons present desired to be heard, and no objections having been presented, on motion, a Resolution offered by Trustee Merrill, entitled "A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Cltr of Lynwood ordering the improvement of a portion of the South Roadway of Ferrnwood Avenue in the City of Lynwood, California." said Resolution being Resolution No. 139, was adopted by the follow- ing vote: Ayes: Trustees Merrill, 'Nillard,Downey, Anderson. Noes: None. Absent*: Trustee Menzel. This being the time and place set for the hearing.of protests or objections against the improvement or the extent of the district, or both, under Resolution of Intention No. 123, the Clerk announce that there were no protests or objections filed; whereupon the Presi- dent inquired if any persons present desired to be heard, and no objections having been presented, on motion, a Resolution offered by' Trustee 'Hillard, entitled "A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood ordering the improvement of portions of Lynwood Road, Louise Street, Josephine Street and California street in the City of Lynwood, California"' said Resolution being Resolution No. 140, was adorted by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Merrill, Willard, Downey, Anderson, Noes: None. Absent: Trustee Menzel. A esolution offered by Trustee Downey, entitled "A Reso- lution of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood vacating, abandoning and setting aside !I-esolution of Intention No. 111 for the improvement of Peach Street and other streets in said City of Lynwood, and all siibsegiient proceedings taken thereiinder." was, on motion made and seconded, adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Merrill- Hillard, Downey, Anderson. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee Menzel. A Resolution offered by Trustee Merrill, entitled "A Resolu- tion of the Board of `� rustees of the City of L-�Yiwood adopting plans and specifications for improvements to be made on certain streets in the City of _Lynwood, together with the districts to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses thereof. "was, on motion made and seconded, adopted by the following vote: Ayes: 11 :rustees Merrill, Willard, Downey, Anderson. WSY @At %Ustee Menzel. 4, 135 A Resolution offered by Trustee Willard, entitled "A Resolution of the Board of Trusteesof the Uity of Lynwood declar- ing its intention to improve Peach Street, South Peach Street,_. Chester Street, Lynwood Place, Plaza Ttreet, Grape Street, Apricot Street, Plum Street, Pear Street, Redwood Avenue and portions of -Sanborn Avenue, Mulford Avenue, South Los Flores Boulevard, Mod,jes- ka Avenue, The South Roadway of Fernwood Avenue and the North Road- way of r'renwood Avenue in said City, and describing the district to be assessed to pay the costs and expenses for said improvement." was, on motion made anci seconded, adopted by the following vote: Ayes: trustees Merrill, Willard, Downey, Anderson. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee Menzel. Mr Althouse reported on drainage. Rev. Barker, Chairman of the Planning Com., reported on recommendations covering trees to be moved from the parkways on Long Beach Blvd, improvements to be made on West Lynwood Road out- side of the City, installation of gas mains on streets to be im- proved, and asked that Nov. 16and 17 be designated as clean -up days. Also asked that necessary notices, etc., be printed and published. A motion by Trustee Downey, seconded by Trustee Merrill, that Rev. Barker be authorized to have notices published and printed, was carried by the following vote: Ayes: t rustees Merrill, Willard,Downey, Anderson. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee Menzel. On motion Rev. barker, representing the Planning Com. of the City, was extended a vote of thanks for the interest taken and good results obtained by that L3ody for the City. On motion Board adjourned to meet Wednesday, Oct. 17, 1923, at the usual time and place. Attest: Clerk. President Board Trustees City of Lynwood.
