'RDhereupon the Clerk opened, examined and publicly declared bids from the following persons: Hall- Johnson Co, 5raun, Fr �c Austin, Inc., southwest Pav- ing Co. and T. J. "c7innev. On motion same was referred to the City Fn- izineer for recommendation. This being the time and solace yet for the receiving of sealed bids or proposals for the work of improvement as contemplated by Re- ,,..,. solution of Intention Tao 127, on motion by Trustee :Villa -d, seconded by Trustee °Merrill, the Cler:u was ordered to open, examine and public- ly declare all bids on file for this work of improvement. 71hereupon the Clerk opened, examinel and publicly declared bids from the following persons: Hall - Johnson Co, Braun, t <ryant & Austin, Inc, Southwest Pav- ing Co and T. J. �ncKinney. Cnrnotion same was referred to the Cit7.7 Fr_- gineer for recommendation. On motion by Trustee Willard, seconded by Trustee Menzel, the Clerk ­gas instructed to take matter of publishing the proceedings of the Board of Trustbes with the editor of the Lynwood Tribune. Trustee Menzel spoke on the enforcement of the License Ordi- nance. On motion by Trustee " -lenzel, secondel by Trustee '`Dillard, the Clerk was ins tructed to ask the Cit�z Atty for are opinion iffegardi.ng the legality of same. The bids for the nronosefl work of improvement as contemplated under Resolutions of Intention Nos127 and128 having been returned to the Board by the City 7ngineer with the statement that the bids of Hall - Johnson Co were the lowest, and recommending that that Company be awarded the contracts, A Resolution offered by Trustee Merrill, entitled "A Resolu- tion of award of contract for the improvement of a portion of the South Iroadway of Fernwood Avenue, in the City of Lynwood. California." was read. Said Resolution being,Ttesolution No 150, was, on motion made and seconded., adapted by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees ?.�errill, 'ilillard, ' > >Menzel, Anderson. Noes: None. Absent: Trustee Downey. A Re-olution offered b,,r Trustee '"lillard, entitled "A Resolution of award of contract for the improvement of portions of Lynwood Road, Louise Street, Josephine Street and California Street, in the City of Lynwood, California." was .read.
