Present : Trustees rderrill , ~'~llard. ~senzel, ~~owney, Anderson. Absent: None. President Anderson in the Chair. Cler'~ present. Com. A co*nmittee from Belle Vernon appeared before the Board and ~..~ ~~ asked regarding the contemplated work of improvement to be done on Carlin and Burton Aves. Mr Althouse explained the work to them. Rev Barker, representing the Planning Com, reported that the negotiations with the P E officials regarding the improvement of the stations in the City was progressing very satisfactorily. Mr Althouse reported favorable progress in the matter of the County improving the unincorporated portion of North L B Blvd. Bus A recommendation from Fire Chief Bagr~ott that the following named persons be appointed as a fire ecmpany was approved and same ordered appointed C `~'~ Boberts, Captain; G C Hotz, Lieut; and as members J Chapman, Farl Sawyer, Ray Rozelle, C L Reber, 0 A Savage, TI ~ Land, Jack Davis, Belson Rawle, J .T Otto, Percy B ~~tile, R F Tucker, :eo Anderson, Nels Anderson. C G Johnson, F' J Raymond, N ~J Johnson. Lloyd Johnson, ;a i~f !dwards, Lee Smith, R C Headley, A Alexander, R T' Ray'aurn, T'van Lewis. The Fire Chief also spoke on conditions affections affecting his department. The Planning Com recommended that a tennis court site be granted on City lot No618. 4n motion made and seconded same was granted and Mr Baughey appointed to see that the Court was properly constructed and maintained. Bus A motion by Trustee "~enzel, seconde~~ by Trustee 'Millard, that a water main be extended to serve Lot 635 and that a charge of X30 be made for the three taps asked for, was carried bTT the following vote: Ayes : Trustees ~?errill, `a~illard, n?enzel, Downey, Anderson. Noes: Nore. Absent: None. Action on an insurance policy offered by H 1~~ Burgwald Co cov- ering the Citq pumping equipment was deferred for one week. Permission was granted 'y' ~' Baggott to construct a driveway to his service station conforming to the one already constructed on his frontage on L B Blvd. iVtr Fry asked for a permit to operate a pop-corn stand from a trailer, this aas continued for one week. On motion made and seconded the Clerk was instructed to write the Holly Sugar Co regarding the removal of the beet dump in the east Hart of town. On motion made and seconded the Clerk was instructed to make a request to Hall-Johnson Co to move the camp of Mexican laborers on Fast Fernwood to some other location. On motion made and seconded the Sanitation Officer was instru- cted to investigate sanitary conditions in Mocijeska Park west of Aa7od- jeska Ave and report same to the Board, also to make a monthly report covering the activities of his office. Treasurer Tischer explained the increase of work in his office and asked that the Board take under consideration the matter of in- creased remuneration. This was laid over until the next meeting. ~!rs Masters, representing the Ladies Aid, asked that that or- s~anization be placed on record as protesting against the issuing of a hermit for the operation of a pocket-billiard parlor in the City. Rev Barker, Mr and ~~rs Neece, Mr Tischer and Trustee 'Millard spoke against same. An expression favoring a poc?~et-billiard parlor signed by 408 residents of the City was presented and read.
