The Beard of Trustees of the CitTT of Ltrnwood met in regular
session at the Cite Hall, 205 t`~est "~~zlford Ave, "Jednesday, A*~ril 2,
1924, at 7:30 p m.
Present: mrustees ~l~errill, -'dillard. '~enzel, Downey, Anderson
Absent : Pdone .

The mirnites of the meeting of Parch 26 were read and approved
as react.
'Brit Com A petition protesting the erection and maintenance of an un-
dertaking establishment on lot 177_ on r~st?lmwood Ave, sinned by all
the resident ~ro~^erty owners between T~onF; Beach Blvd and Sessions St
on said street, was read. On motion male and seconded the building
inspector was instr~.zcted to not issue a building permit witY~out first
consulting the Eoard.
Oral Coms Pr Hayes and Mr T,orrain.e of Palomar Terrace appeared before
the Board and stated that it was the desire of the residents of that
sub-division to annex to the Cit~r of L~jnwood. A motion by Trustee
Downey, seconded by `Crtrstee rVTerri7.1 , that annexation proceedings be
started at, once, was carried bar the following vote:

??nf Bus This being the time and place set for the hearing of protests
on the work of improvement or the district assessed to pay said im-
provements under Resolution of Intention No 1.22, the Clerk anno~znced
that no protests were on file, Tr~istee Downey protested stating that
the Street Supt had not accented this work. A motion by Trustee `"7il-
lard, seconded bar Trustee Perril_l, that the assessment be confirmed
'and that the Street Supt be authorized to sign warrant, was carried
bTj the following vote:

having been paid for a plasterer's license. was laid over until the
next meeting, at which time all persons interested in amending the
present license ordinance were invited to be present and`ex~oress
their views.
Nx Yand, representing the Librar~r Committee, read a resolu-
t.,~_on from that body asking that the Board ax~prot~riate x`50 a month
to help defray the expenses of the ?'ublic I~ibrartr, The Cit~r Atty
spoke on the legality of such appropriation, stating that it could
be done legally. rlrs ~:~etchum explained the u~ldesirable condition of
the T:ibrarsr. On motion action was deferred to April 23.
A new Ordinance entitled "An Ordin.anee of the Board of Trus-
tees of the Citjr of Lynwood, Cal. , re,~~lating traft.'ic on certain
streets in the City of Lynwood, and providinr~ a penalt~r for the
violation cf said Ordinance," wa, read. 1 motion by Trustee novaney,
seconded by Trustee '~enzel, +.,hat tYie same be declared read for the
first time and laid over for second reading, was carried bI,T the fol-
lowing vote:

plated erection of an undertaking establishr;~ent on that street.

Tr~istee nowney asked that four special police be employed

motion being seconded by Trv.stee ~!l~enzel_, was ca.rriPd by the fo7.low-
ing vote:
