Meeting of Board June 11, 1924.
The Board of Trustees of the Cit~r of Lynwood met in adiourn~d
regular session at the City Hall, 205 ~`dest l~~lulford Ave, Wednesday,June
11, 1924 ,. at. 7:30 pm.
Present: Trustees Downey Gordy Tweedy Reed Anderson
Absent: None

Repts Comrs The committee on garbage collection recommended that a route be
established. A motion made ar~d seconded that th® said committee be auth-
orized to enter into agreement for garbage collection, was carried.

Trustee Downey reported on various fire-fighting equipment ex-
plaining the different makes. r~r G C Hotz spoke on this subieet, giving
his experience with different t7Aes, and stating that the Long Beach
Fire Chief had expressed his willingness to meet with the Board and give
them the benefit of his knowledge regarding the needs of the City of Lyn-
wood. jv~r Hotz was asked to arrange a meeting when it would be convenient
to the Chief.
U of Bus An Ordinanceentitled "An Ordinance of the Board of Trustees of
the City of Lynwood, Cal., approving the Annexation to the said City of
"Addition No 4," was read for the second time, and on motion made and
seconded was declared read for the second time and taken up for third
reading and final passage, whereupon said Ordinance was read for the
third and last time, and on motion made and seconded was declared read
for the third time and placed on final passage. Thereupon said Ordinance
,,..,_ being Ordinance No 38 of the City of Lynwood, was ?gassed b1 the following
vote:
Ayes: Trustees Downey Gordy Tweedy Reed Anderson
Noes: None
Absent: None
The matter of building a fire house and an addition to the City
Hall was referred to a committee composed of Trustees Downey Gordy and
Reed .
A motion .by Trustee Downey, seconded by `T'rustee Tweedy, that the
petitions from Wawona Park asking that an election be called in that dis-
trict to submit tre question of annexing to the City of Lynwood, and pro-
testing against same, be tabled and that new petitions be ftkrnished on
application, was carried.
The street improvement of the recently annexed territory ~n the
northwest part of the City was discussed. The Chair appointed 'trustees
Reed and Tweedy to investigate and recommend improvements for Norton Ave.

A motier~ by TrUStee Downey, seconded by Trustee Gordy, that the
above demands be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for same, was car-
ried by the following vote:
Ayes: T.rusteos Downer. Gordy Tweedy Reed Anderson
Noes: None
Absent: None
