The board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood met in adj ourn-
ed regular session at the City I-iall, 205 ~~est Mulford Ave, I+riday,
August 8, 1924, at 7:30 pm.

The minutes of the meeting of August 6 were read and appro-
ved as read
Unf bus The award of contract for the work of improvement as con-
tern7~lated under Resolution of Intention No 192 having been laid over
to this date, the same was taken up. sifter consulting the report of
the City engineer regarding the result of the various bids received,
it eras found that the bid of Hall-Johnson Co was the lowest. ;'Jhere-
unon a Resolution entitled "A Resolution of Award of Contract for the
improvement of San Jose ~ivenue, Capistrano Avenue, t3arlow Avenue and
Norton Avenue in the City of Lynwood, California," was read; and on
motion ~~de~and seeondec~ said Resolution being Resolution No 207 of
the City of Lyn~voad, was adapted by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Gordy Tweedy Reed Anderson

Absent: Trustee Downey
The matter of collecting for the expense of cutting weeds
on vacant property was taken up and discussed. A motion was made and
carried that the Clerk be instructed to write the security Investment
Co, Riverside, regarding a complete list of the property owners in
tki'~ City.
The Health Department proposition ~x~ras taken up and discuss-
ed. A motion was made and carried that the Chair appoint a special
committee to investigate and report on this matter. The Chair appoint-
ed Trustees Tweedy and Gordy.
New bus eater Commissioner Gordy. spoke on water main conditions on
Larlow ?venue, asking authority to have the same removed from the
street to the rear of the abutting property.. A motion by Trustee
Gordy, seconded by Trustee Tweedy, that the eater ;superintendent be
instructed and authorized to do this work, was carried by the follow-
ing vote:
Ayes: Trustees Gordy Tweedy Reed Anderson
Noes: None
Absent: Trustee i~owney

A motion by Trustee Tweedy, seconded by Trustee Gordy that
the above demands be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for same was
carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Gordy Tweedy heed Anderson
Noes: None
Absent: Trustee llowney
