Meeting of Board August 27 1924
The Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood met in adjourned
regular session at the City Hall 205 i1'est Mulford Ave 11~ednesday August
2`7 1F24 at 7:30 pm,
Present; Trustees Gordy Tweedy Reed Anderson
Absent: Trustee Downey
President Anderson in the Chair. Clerk present
The minutes of the meeting of August 20 were read and approved
as read
Cral Coms Mr ',Naddell addressed the Board. regarding the retirement of as-
sessments levied under the Street Improvement :`pct. Stating that he felt
as though the City should arrange to relieve property owners from pad,*-
ing unaccrued interest on amounts necessary to be paid that could not
be reached by ~dvalncing the maturity of the most convenient bonds.
I?r Bell Sanitation Officer spoke on sanitation conditions, star
ing that he hoped to eliminate outside toilets very shortly.
New Bus Street Commissioner Reed reported that numerous excavations hoc
been made in the streets by the ~;as compan.y and by the water department,
and recommended that the City purchase a fully equipped apparatus for
melting asphaltum for use in repairing these places. A motion by Trus-
tee Gordy, seconded by Trustee Tweedy, that the Chair appoint a commit,te
with authority to purchase same, was carried b7 the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Gord~T Tweedy Reed Anderson
Noes: None
Absent: Trustee Downey
The Chair appointed Trustees Reed and Tweedy
On motion Board adjourned
