On r:u~tion rna,de and seconded, said Resolution being Resolution No 211 of the City of Lynwood, vacs adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Dovrney Gordy Tweedy Reed Anderson Z~~oes: None :'absent: none "" l~ew bus A corrrmunication from the ?'~aechanical Department of Los Angeles County stating t'rlat no provision had been made regarding the collection of revenue to continue the payment of lighting expense in tYie lighting district by reason of the fact that the district was novr entirely with- in the City limits, eras read. flhas Drinktrater exy~lained the forr~a,tion and financial condition of the lighting district, also how long lighting might be expected to be continued with the funds available, and asked that, if possible, some vray be found vrhereby it vrould not be necessary to discontinue the lights. A motion was made and carried that the Chair appoint a corzrnittee to investigate this nia,tter. The Cl-LLair appointed the City ratty, Trustee Gordy, Cras Drinkvrater, li '.I Larsen, R G %:~errill and A 13 Gray . The rrratter of Compensation Insurance for City employees tivas dis- cussed and laid over for further investigation. Petitions asking for street ir.~provernent trork on lest Carlin Ave and '~~est Burton Ave were referred to the City Engr vrith instructions to start necessary proceedings. A petition asking that golden Ave be opened to ~~uclid i~ve and that streets be opened along the rear of lots in blocl~s 13 and 14, Belle- 'Ternon Acres, vray referred to the City ~ngr to start proceedings. ?Tr Ctraus:~ expressed hinself against all improvements . i:r Cogs- vrell stated that he eras in favor of same . Trustee Downey asked for six weeks leave of absence. The same was granted. The financial reports of tl~e :'pater and City Clerks 4vere read, accepted and ordered filed. l~~s 1.+addell asked about condemnation proceedings affecting his property, lot 40 tract 2551. I1Ir Althouse explained. i:r LcClellan asked about disposition of dirt taken from Bar- low Ave. tr .~~lt'rlouse explained. lr Olsen asked regarding tre improvement of tl~e contemplated extention of Peach at abutting r~is property. President Anderson ex}~ plained.
