resident Anderson then asked Trustee Tweedy to take the Chair,.
and addressed the Board stating that it was his opinion that the City
Marshal was receiving toa much compensation.. and recommended that same
be cut to X200 per month.
Trustee Reed tendered his resignation as Police Commissioner,
the same was accepted.
President Anderson appointed Trustee Downey as Police Com-
missioner.
On motion Board adjourned to meet Wednesday Oct 29 at the
usual time and glace.
In answer to the Call of President Anderson the Board of
Trustees of the City of Lynwood met in Special Sessc~on at the City
Hall 205 Test Mulford Ave Monday Gct 27 1924 at 7:30 pm
Present: Trustees Downey Tweedy Reed Anderson
Absent: Trustee C-ordy
President Anderson in the Chair. Clerk present
The President stated that the object of the meeting was
for the purpose of discussing and investigating certain rumors re-
garding members of th® Police department
After questioning the accused members a motion by Trustee
Downey seconded by Trustee Reed that all charges against the Police
Dept had been investigated thoroughly and had been found to have
been unfounded. was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Downey ffiweedy Reed Anderson
Noes: None
Absent: Gordy
