Call meeting Oct 31 1924

Pursuant to the Call of President Anderson the Board of
Trustees of the City of Lynwood met in Special Session at the City
Hall 205 W Mulford Ave Friday Oct 31 1924 at 7:30 pm
Present: Trustees Downey Gordy Tweedy Reed Anderson

President Anderson in the Chair. Clerk present
The reading of the minutes of the meeting of Oct 29 was
omitted
The President stated that the meeting was called at the
request of the Police Commissioner to consider matters regarding
that Department
The Police Commissioner then presented the resignations
of officers Anderson and Reed
The Clerk read the resignation of Officer Anderson from
the service of the City
A motion by Trustee Dcawney seconded by Trustee Reed tY~at
the same be accepted, was carried by the following vote:
Ades: Trustees Downey Gordy Tweedy Reed Anderson
Aloes; None
Absent: None
The Glerk then read the resignation of Officer Reed.w.:
A motion by Trustee Gordy seconded by Trustee Reed that
t•he same be accepted, was carried by the following. vote:
Ayes: Trustees Downey Gordy Tweedy Reed Anderson
Noes: None
Absent: None
A moticn by Trustee Downey seconded by Trustee Reed that
f~he office of City Marshal be declared vacant for the ~?ood of the
service, was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Downey Gordy Reed Anderson
Noes: Trustee Tweedy
Absent: None
A motion by Trustee Downey seconded by Trustee Tweedy that
the Clerk be instructed to advertise for applications as Traffic Of-
f icers for the City at a salary of ~~175 per month. Said applications
to be filed with the City Clerk not later than 7:30 pm Wednesday~~Tov

A moticn by Trustee Downey seconded by Trustee Tweedy that
L Haslaur by appointed temporary City Marshal. was carried by the
following vote:
