Clerk present The minutes of the meetings of Dec ?.~~ and 27 t~vere read and approved as read G'Jrit Coms A communication from the Board of S1-znervisors of I~os Angeles County submitting an oninior. of the Counter Counsel rep~arding~ the de- mand of the Cit?r of Lrn~vood for a nrox?orticn of the district road fund of the Countzr in certain annexed t,erritorsr, ~•das read. and filed... A communication from the CitT.~ E~.}~ineer relative to the navy man of the City was read and filed An Order to Show Cause: r:~arie Stella, plaintiff, vs The City of Lynwood, a corporation, Iwcad;-a corporat3e~, and John Doe, Rich- ard Roe, ~?ohn Doe Co~svrell and F.ichard. Roe ';orris, defendants, citing? said defendants to appear in Court in Department 25 at 10 o'clock am Jan 14 1925, and show cause tvh~r an order should not be entered restrair.- in~ the defendants from f~~rther construction of curbin~s upon the prop- ertzr of the plaintiff,- and ~rhy an order shcul_d not be entered restrain- i_n~ tl^~e defendants from constructing a street or hi ~ht~,aTr across the plaintiff's p?~onerttr, was read. and referred to the City Attorne~* to tep- resent the Cit~T of L~rnwood in said action. This being the .time and place set for the hearing of pro- . tests why bonds should not be issued to cover the unpaid assess- manta for the cost of improvement in the district known as Capi- strano Ave, etal, under Resolution of Intention No .192, the Clerk announced that no protests were on file. Whereupon the President inquired if app persons present desired to,be heard, and no per- son responding, a Resolution entitled "A Resolution of the B and of Trustees of the City of Lynwood, California, relating to ~he issuance of street improvement bonds pursuant to Resolution of In- tention No 192, determining the amount of unpaid asses$ments, pre- 5- scribing the denomination of such bonds and providing for their is- ; suance," was read. On motion by Trustee Gordy seconded by Trustee L_ Reed, said Resolution being Resolution No 238 of the City of Lyn- wood, was adopted by the following vote: I Ayes: Trustees Gordy Reed Anderson Noes: None Absent: Trustees Tweedy Zeiler _ ~-- or e- i`rs~ time an al over~~"'or ssecond reading, evas carried. b~T ___ the following vote: Ages : Trustees Gordjr Reed ~inderson T1oes : None Absent: Trustees TweedTl Zeiler This being the time and place set for the receiving of sealed bids or proposald for the work of improvement as contemplated by Reso- lution of Intention T1o 229, the Clerk announced that one bid was on file. A motion was duly made and carried that the Clerk open, examine and publicly declare said bid, i`Jhereupon the Clerk opened, examined and publicly declared the bid of hall-Johnson Co, l~:~r E A~ Downe~;~, as the most, interested property owner in the district 4ffected stated. that there a~ere certain irre~z~~_arities connected with the bidding and as'_~ed that action be deferred for one week. A motion was made and car- ried that the matter be laid. over to Jan 8 1925. New bus A motion was made and carr~_ed that the Citjr Treasurer be.in- structed to make a full financial teport oSverin~ his office to Dec 31 1924, said report to r}e submitted to the Board net later than Jan 21 1925.
