Call Meeting Jan 23 1925
Pursuant to the call of President Plunkett the Board of Trus-
tees of the City of Lynwood met in Call Session at the City Hall 205
W Mulford Ave Friday Jan 23 1925 at 7:30 pm
Present: Trustees Tweedy 7eiser Schouten Hotz Plunkett
Absent: None
President Plunkett in the Chair. Clerk present
The minutes of the meetings of Jan 21 1925 were read and ap-
proved as read
"'~" A copy of the Call was read. Said Call specifying that the pur~
~' pose of the meeting was to consider the following matters:
-- 1: All matters relating to Court ordcr~on recall petitions.
2: The matter of the bill for Court reporters, etc., laid over
from the previous meeting
3: The resignation of Trustee Plunkett
A copy of the peremptory writ, sued by Judge Stevens, Depart-
ment 6 of the Superior Court, commande Board of Trustees to immedi-
ately calla Special Election in compliance with certain retail petit-
ions, was read. _
Trustee Hotz stated that as he was. not on the B and at the td~m+
said petitions were filed and acted upon that he did no~ wish to take
action at this time as the City Attorney was not present, and made a
motion that the matter be laid over for legal advise. Upon siad motion
being seconded by Trustee Schouten the same was carried by the follow-
ing vote

Noes: None
Absent: None
The bill of Atchley & Atchley for transcript of the proceeding
at the investigation held Jan 13 1925, amounting to X41.74 was discus-
sed.
The following persons protested the payment of the bill on
the ground that same was not authorized at a meeting of the Board:
,.._ Trustees Tweedy and Plunkett and F F' Menzel.
The following persons claimed the same to be a legal obligation
Trustees Seiler, Schouten and Hotz, L C Anderson A N Gordy and
F M Downey.
A motion by Trustee Schouten seconded by Trustee Hotz that the
bill of Atchley & Atchley for reporting and transcribing prdeeedings a'
investigation held Jan 13 1925, amounting to X41.74 be allowed and war•
rant ordered drawn for same, was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Schouten Zeiler Hotz
Noes: Trustees Tweedy Plunkett
Absent: None
At the request of President Plunkett Trustees Schouten took th+
Chair.
- The resignation of Trustee Plunkett as Chairman and member of
the Bard of Trustees was read. A motion by Trustee Zeiser seconded by
Trustee Hotz that same be accepted, was carried bq the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Zeiser Schouten Hotz Plunkett
Noes: Trustee Tweedy
Absent; None
Trustee Hotz placed the name of L C Anderson in nomination to
fill the vacancy created by the resignation of Trustee Plunkett,upon
- said nomination being seconded by Trustee 7eiser and a motion being
made and carried that nominations be closed, L C Anderson was appointee
a member of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood by the follow
ing vote

The Clerk administered the oath of pffice to Mr Anderson Who
thereupon took his seat as a member of the Board of Trustees
'- Trustee Zeiser presented his resignation as a mem~aer of the
Board of Trustees which was read by the Clerk. A motion by Trustee
Tweedy seconded by Trustee Hotz that same be accepted, was carded by
the following vote'
Ayes: Trustees Tweedy Hotz Schouten
Noes: Trustee Anderson
Absent: None
A motion was made and carried that Trustee Schouten be appoint
ed temporary chairman
