City At.ty and Citv Clerk present The minutes of the meetings of F.Tarch 1S and 20 were read and approved ';writ Coors An application for the position of F~gineer of the N'ire Dept "~ bsT C F Finney of 532 Rud~lnh Ave tilatts, was read and filed A proposition by '%l Tr, 1±Titchell 714 H 'y`u' Tiellman Fsldg L ~~ regard- - ing certain refunds that he claimed might be obtained for the City, was read and filed Oral Coors I)r .Burns of the Countsr Health L'ept addressed the Board on the matter of Health and Sanitation inspection far the City, offering the County Health Dept services cov~ririg~~coritagious,diseases; ~ sanitatic5nY ~~~ , Complaints;, and° food and milk inspection for the sum of ~~35 per month. A motion by Trustee E~nderson seconded by Trustee Tweedy that the Cit~ enter into contract for the above specified services for the sum of .,-35 per month, and that the President of the hoard be authorized to execute same in the name of the City, was carried by the following vote: ayes: Trustees Tiotz Anderson Sherer 'weedy Schouten noes : T~1one Absent: Tone Rept Comrs :'later Commissioner Anderson reported that 25 additional Fire hydrants would be installed at once Street Commissioner Sherer asked for aut.harity to purchase cer- taro needed equix~ment for the Street Department. A oration by Trustee Hotz seconded by Trustee Anderson that Street Commissioner Sherer be authorized to purchase needed equipment in a sure not exceeding ~''~20~.~, was carried by the following vote Ayes: Trustees Hotz Anderson Sherer Schouten Does : Trustee 'weedy .•-• Absent : None 1Tnf 13us Anew Ordinance entitled "An Grdinance of the Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood, Cal., repealing and annulling Ordinance No 34 of the City of Lynvrood," was read for the third time. ?Jpon motion by Trus- tee Sherer seconded bz7 Trustee Hotz the same was declared read for the third time and placed on final passage, whereupon said Ordinance being Ordinance Pao 55 of the Cit~T of Lynwood was passed by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees ??otz Anderson Sherer Tweedy Schouten Toes : None Absent : Pdone A new Ordinance entitled "An. Ordinance of the City of L~rnwead repealing and abandoning Ordinances Plumbered 43 and 46 of swirl City, and - all proceedings had thereunder," was read for the third time. ilpon motic by Trustee Anderson seconded by Trustee Tiotz the same was declared read for the third time and ~olaced on final passage, whereupon said Grdinance being; Grdinance ho 56 of the Cit~r of Lynwood, was passed by the follow- ing vote: Ayes: Trustees Hotz Anderson Sherer Tweedy Schouten Noes: None Absent: None Z`ew Bus Anew Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance of the Board of Trustees of the Citjr of Lynnwood, Cal. , annulling certain Sections of Grdinance Pao 51," was read far the first time. A motion by Trustee Sherer seconded by Trustee Hotz that said Ordinance be declared read for the first time and laid over for second reading, was carried by the following vote: '~ Ayes: Trustees Hotz Anderson Sherer Schouten T~Ioes : Trustee Tweedy _ Absent : 1`lone `~ Street Commissioner Sherer stated that certain lots could be ~ purchased at a very reasonable rate, and recommended that same be pur- chased far the purpose of maintaining a material yard thereon.
