The minutes of tree meeting of Ax~ril f3 ]_025 were read and approv-
ed as read
'JUrit Corns ~~ Referendu?n Petition signed b~T 510 purported legal voters .of the
City, waC read. Said Petition asking that Ordinances hlumbered 53 and 54
be reconsidered, and in the event that said Ordinances be not repealed •-
that they be submitted to the voters of the City at the next regular
municipal election, or at a special election called for that purpose. A
motion by 'T'rustee Sherer seconded bar 'Trustee Anderson that said petiti-
ons be referred to the Cit~r Attorney for investigation and recommenda-
tion, was carried by the fo]_lotinring vote

Lester T Bullis and H Cr Legg, vras read. Said communication asked that
the signatures of the v~ives of the above named persons to the Refer=
endum Petition having beer, obtained irregularly, be disregarded. This
communication was ordered filed
Re?~ Comrs ~sdater Commissioner Anderson reported that the abandoned water
main. on I~:ast, Virginia Street had been taken up and sold to J F Lasle~r.
The amount of Wipe was 1610 feet, raid Wipe being sold for 20c per ft,
after deducting cost of taking up same, a profit remained to the CitzT
of ~`=.263.

on the manner of the street improvernen.t dare, or the assessments made
to cover the costs and expenses of said work, under Resolution of In-
tention No 222 in the district known as Lynwood TToad, etal streets. --'
`T'he Clerk announced that there were no protests on fi]_e, whereupon
the ?'resident inquired if any persons present desired to be head, and
no person respor._ding, a motion by Trustee "hexer seconded bar Trustee
Anderson that the assessment be confirmed and Street Supt be instruc-
ted to sign warrant, was carried bZr the following vote:

A new Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance of the ~3oard of Trustees
of the Cit~r of Lynwood, California, annulling certain Sections of Ordi-
nance TTo 51." ~~da€ read. for t'nP_, third and last time. A motichnt waS made-
b~r 1^.rustee-. Anderson seconded b=~r Trustee Sherer that ,said Ordinance 'be
declared read 6or the third a.nd last time and placed on final passage.

lowing vote:

L F Shutz having been employred as Assistant Bookkeeper at a salary,
of `~~125 for the first month with the understanding that if his services

A motion bps Trustee J~nderson seconded by Trustee Tweed~r that the
above demands be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for same, was car-
ried by the following vote: Ares; Trustees t~nderson Sherer Tweedy Sch-

Tiew Bus Trustee Sherer spoke regarding; the re-numbering of residences.
business houses, etc. , in the City, stating; that txe would advise that
the City employ a n3an to do renumbering in a systematic manner over
the entire City. Mr Althouse explained how this matter had been han-
dled in Southgate and Campton. ?~~r ~?enzel stated that he had seen this
work done by placing; the house number on the curb, and leaving it to
the option of tre otivner to place same on house. This method was ad-
opted as the most practicable. ti motion hTr Trustee And.ersorx seconded
by Trustee Tweedy that the Street Commissioner be authorized to em-
ploy aman for this work, and purchase necessary supplies, was car-
ried b;T the following vote;

Street Commissioner Sherer reported progress on the construc-
tion of the Street Improvement material ,yard, and asked that Yie be
authorized to buy material for same in a sum not to exceed a"299 and
that he also be authorized to employ labor to that extent. A oration

missioner be authorized to purchase supplies for the construction
of the Street Improvement material jrard in a sum not to exceed x'299,
was carried by the following vote:
