Regular Meeting June 3 1925
The Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood met in regular ses-
sion at the City Hall 205 '~'Yest N`ulford Ave ~~dednesday June 3 1925 at
? : 30 pm
Present: Trustees Anderson Hutchinson Sherer Tweedy Schouten
Absent: None

against the condemnation proceedings as instituted under Resolution of
Intention No 247 was read and laid over to new business..
A communication from the County Surveyor's office regarding
monuments, was ri~ad'and filed
ti communication from the Holly Co regarding the removal of the
'old beet dump was read and filed
Unf bus The Board having under contemplation the purchase of a portion
of Lot 691 tract 2992 far street purposes, a Resolutior, offered by
Trustee Sharer entitled: "A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the
City of Lynwood regarding a certain portion of Lot 691 Tract 2992,"
was read. Cn motion by Trustee Sherer seconded by Trustee Anderson,
said Resolta.tion being Resolution No 255 was adopted by the following.

Noes: None
Absent: None
This being the time and place set for the hearing of protests
why bonds shou?d not be issued to pay the costs and expenses of the
work of improvement done under Resolution of Intention No 222 in the
district known as Lynwood Road etal streets, the Clerk announced that
there were no protests on file. `J'dhereupon the President inquired if any
persons present desired to be hoard, and na person responding a Resolu-
tion entitled: "A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Lynrroood, California, relating to the issuance of street improvement
^- bands pursuant to Resolution of Intent;cn rdo 222, determining the amours
of unpaid assessments, presenibing the denominations of such bonds and
providing for their issuance," was read. On motion bq Trustee Anderson
seconded by Trustee Tweedy said Resolution being Resolution too 256, was
adopted b~* tie following vote:

Noes: None
Absent: None
The City Att~T reported that it was his opinion that the old
structure on lots 35-36 block 22 did not constitute afire menace and
could not be condemned as such. And that the owner was within his right
in maintaining same,
New Bus `.t'he monthly reports of the 4Yater and City Clerks were read and
filed
A nets Ordinance entitled;"An Ordinance of the Board of Trustees
of the City of Lynwood,. Cal., repealing and annulling Section 10 of
Ordinance No 40,-and adding thereto certain Sections to be known as
Sections 1C} and 10~," was read. On motion made and carried said Ordi-
nance was deelardd read for the first time and laid aver for second
reading.
The ,City ~:~arshal asked for authcrity to purchase feed for dogs
confined in the City pound. This was wanted.
Tyre President inquired what the pleasure of the Board was re-
garding the charge ffir water service to churches. A motion was made anc
carried that all churches be exempt from water service c~rarg;e until fur
.-. ther notice.
The matter of the protest against the gnnd~mnation proceedings
was,naw taken up. A Resolution untitled "A Resolution of the F3oard of
Trustees of the City of Lynwood fixing a time for hearing objections
against the work or improvement described in Resolution of Intention
No 24? of said Board," was read. On motion by Trustee Tweedy seconded
by Trustee Anderson said Resolution being: Resolution No 25? was adoptec
by the following vote

~ motion by Trustee tnderson seconded by Trustee Hutchinson that
r- the above demands be allowed and warrants ordered drawn for same, was
carried by the following vole:

Not voting: Trustee Tweedy
The demand of H r ~r°~hitaker No 1236 amounting to x'301.£30 drawn
against the General Fund, the same being for legal publications in con-
nection with condemnation proceedings and lighting district assessments
was referred to the City attorney for advice.
The demand of the Star F~oof in~* Co No 289 for $~S? .50 and the Lyn-
wood ;~;C,~rag~ for ~.SScents were referred to the Street Commissioner.
