CALL TO ORDER
The Special Council Meeting of April 11, 1995, was called to order at 7:30 P.M. with Mayor
Louise Gardner presiding.
ROLL CALL
The following Council Members were present for roll call:
Present: Barnicle, Bertel, Byrd, Estes - Benward, Green, Haake, Jackson, and
Nilges
Absent: Halsey
A quorum was declared present.
Mayor Gardner announced that Item (1) on the agenda, the filling of Third Ward
Councilman vacancy, would be deleted from the agenda.
BILLS PENDING
Bill 94 -220, sponsored by Councilman Nilges, entitled:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, APPROVING
ASSIGNMENT OF RIVERFRONT DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT TO AERIE
RIVERBOAT CASINOS OF MISSOURI, INC.
Councilman Nilges stated that he wished to withdraw Bill 94 -220 at this time, and planned
to reintroduce it after the new Mayor and Council Members take office; he encouraged the
Council to allow the citizens to vote on the Charter amendment pertaining to riverboat
gambling as quickly as possible so the issue may be finally settled. Bill 94 -220 was
withdrawn.
ADJOURNMENT
There being no further business, Mayor Gardner declared the meeting adjourned at 7:34
P.M.
