Adjourned Meeting August 27 1925
The Board of Trustees of the City of L~rnwood met in adjourned
regular meeting at the City Hall 205 4tiest Mulford Ave Thursday August
27 1925 at 3pm.
Present: Trustees Gordy Reed Downey
' Absent: Trustees Hutchinson Tweedy
President Downey in the Bhair. City Engineer City Attorney and
Clerk present.
The reading of the minute4 of the meeting of August 25 was omittec
Rcpt Comrs: Street Commissioner Reed recommended that the ~rbssing'at°the ante
section of Fernwood Ave and the Southern Pacific Ry be improved by con-
crete paving instead of de-composed granite as contemplated, and asked,
if it were agreeable to the Board, for authority to commence said improvE
ment. A motion by Trustee Gordy seconded by Trustee Reed that the Street
Commissioner be authorized to purchase X299 worth of material and expend
X299 for labor in the improvement Bf the intersection of Fernwood Ave anc
the S P Ry, was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Gordy Reed Downey
Noes: None
Absent: Trustees Hutchinson Tweedy
Unf bus A motion vas made and carried that the hearing of protests on the
work of improvement as contemplated by Resolution of Intention No 265 be
continued to Wednesday Sept 2 1925. ^__~
The Gity Engineer presented a rough. draft of a contract covering
the off ice of City Engineer of the City of Lynwood. A motion by Trustee
Gordy seconded by Trustee Reed that said contract be referred to the
City Attorney to be returned to the Board with his recommendation Sept
2, was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Gordy Reed Downey
Noes: None
Absent: Trustees Hutchinson Tweedy
The City Engineer spoke on the necessity of making tentative planE
covering the proposed sewer system. A motion by Trustee Gordy seconded
by Trustee Reed that the City Engineer be authorized to proceed with plan
for a sewer system for the City of Lynwood, was carried by the following
vote:
Ayes: Trustees Gordy Reed Downey
Noes: None
Absent: Trustees Hutchinson Tweedy
On motion Board adjourned.
