`Phe Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood met in adjourned

1925 at 7:30 nm.

. City I'~gineer, Stenographer and Clerk present.
President Downey presiding.

ti,'rit Coms tin invitation was read from the VVornan' s Club inviting the Board tc
attend the laying of the corner stone of the new Club Home Sunday Jan 3.
A motion that said invitation be accepted with thanks, was carried by the
following vote:

Oral Coms TJir Chas Drinkv~ater stated that he understood that the bid of Fritz
Zisbarth, the lowest bidder for the work or improvement contemplated by
Resolution of Intention. No 265, had been withdrawn previous to the
awarding of the contract for said improvement, and asked how same could
be awarded in that event. The President explained that the said bid had
not been withdrawn.
Sp1 Coms ~!'he Street Commissioner reported that 45 degree ~oarking spaces
had bean painted on the curb from Beechwood to Oakwood.
Unf Bus The President declared a 5 minute racers.
Board called to order. All members present.
' `T'he resignation of City Attorney tiVinburn being on file, a motion
by Trustee Gordy seconded k,~y Trustee Reed that same be accepted to take
affect at once, was carried by the fallowing vote:

A motion by Trustee Gordy seconded by `[~ustee ~~e:ed =y that Geo D
~ Rodgers be appointed City Attorney, was carried by the following vote:

Mr Rodgers being present he was sworn in as City f~ttorney by the
Clark.
The Mater Commissioner recommended that new water main bo instal-
~ led from a point midway between Jcsephine and Vir~?inia on the west fide
of the- Boulevard, and that the same be as follows : 2000 feet of 10 inch
and 1200 feet of 8 inch, skid pipe to be either 250 ft head wood pipe or
sand cast cast iron.
A motion that the Clerk be instructed to advertise in the "SPr
Builder and Contractor" for bids covering said installation of water mair,
as recommended by the v`later Commissioner together with necessary fittings
was made bar Trustee Anderson, said motion upon being seconded bar Trustee
Read was carried by the following vote: -

The City Engineer stated ghat upon the recommendation of the State
Board of Health a septic tank would be installed for the disposal of sew-
age until the completion of the Petropolitan Sewer System. He further
'stated that all communities desiring to avail themselves of the privelege
of 1ising ss.id septic tank must file a request for sur~h privilege with
the governi~-g body of said Metropolitan Sewer System not later khan `i'ues-
day Jan 5 1926. Ha recommended triat some action be taken in this matter
not later than !~nnday;~ri~'=°the City wished to use said septic tank. After
a general discussion of this matter it eras decided to postpone action
until Pdonday Jan 4. the City Engineer presented a reap showing the pro-
posed sewer s~,•stam throughout the City, and explained why it eras necessar
in his opinion, to install sewers in the streets instead of in the roar.
A general discussion was entered into regarding the merits of varinns
kinds of pipe to be used in said proposed sewer system throughout the
City. The City ~.gineer stated that he would, if it were the desire of
the Board, procure prices and submit spec if icatians covering different
seweE pipe, and submit same at the proposed meeting Monday Jan 4. The
L~card accepted said offer. _
New Kus A Resolution entitled "A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of
the City of Lynwood, Cal. , re-transferring the sum of Fifteen hundred
Dolla~~s (:1500} from the General Fund to the 'Hater Fund" was read. On
