Pres (=reenamver in Chair - ----- On motion made and carried the reading of the minutes of the meet- ings of Feb 1•~ and 20 was omitted. 'Writ Coms An application by J L Andrews for the position of Janitor was read and filed. feral Coms Air Gosney representing the Yreka Fire Hose Co addressed the Board on the subject of fire hose, explaining the amount he considered necessary to fully equip afire department. Also stating that he had a Blake valve for sale at a very reasonable price. ~~etion on the purchase of fire hose was deferred to the next regular meeting. Re Coms Fire Commissioner `Pweedy stated that he considered it necessary tha a fireman be employed to take char~ze of the fire engine during the day tin and. asked that one be so employed. This matter was laid over to next refru- lar meeting. The Fire Commissioner recommended that a Blake valve be purchased for the use of the fire department. A motion by 'T'rustee Roberts seconded by Trustee l~nhree~r that the Fire Commissioner be authorized to purchase a Blake valve for the fire department, was carried by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Tweedy Roberts Murray Greenamyer Noes: None Absent : Trustee Gordv T1nf Bus As instructed bar the Board of `T'rustees the City Attorney presented and read a Resolution entitled "A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the Citv of Lynwood, State of California. rep©aling Resolution No 287 of the City of Lynwood entitled ' t~ Resolution of the Board of 'Prustees of the Cit~r of Lynwood, State of California, abandont4ng, abro~ratin~Z, annulling, terminating and rescinding proceedings pursuant to Resolution of I;}tentior No 265 of the City of Lynwood, State of California' ," On motion try Trus- tee Murray seconded by Trustee Tweedy said Resolution being Resolution No 268 was adopted by the following vote: Ayes: Trustees Tweedy Roberts ~4urray Greenamver Noes: None Absent: Trustee Gordy New Bus A new Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance of the Roard of Trustees of the Cit~r of Lynwood providing for the regulation of the distribution of written or printed or partly written and partly printed matter within the said City," was read. x motion b•.r Trustee Tweedy seconded by Trustee Rob~r arts that said Ordinance be declared read for the first time and laid over for second reading, was carried by the following note: Ayes: Trustees Tweedy Roberts Murray Greenamyer Noes: hone Absent:~Trustee Gordv.
