The Board of Trustees of the e: ity of Lynwood met in regular
session at the City Hall 205 :'Vest Mulford Ave Wednesday March 3 1926
at 7:30 pm.

Absent: Trustee Tweedy

The reading of the minutes of the meetings- of Feb 20 and 24

tlnf Bus S ~~ew ordinance entitled "An Ordinance of the Board of Trus-
tees of the City of Lynwood, California, annulling Ordinances Nos 53
and 54," was read for the third and last time. Gn motion by Trustee
Gordy seconded by `T'rustee Roberts said Ordinance was declared read for
the third time and x~laced upon final passage, whereupon said Ordinance
bein~a trdinance No 60 was passed by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Roberts Gordy Murray treenamyer
Noes: Nvne
Absent: Trustee Tweedy
A new Ordinance entitled "An Ordinance of the Board of Trus-
tees of the City of Lynwood providing for the reg~~lation of the diet;ri-
bution of written or vrinted or partly written and partly printed mat-
ter within the said City," was read for the second time. A motion by
Trustee Roberts seconded bg Trustee Murray that said Ordinance be de-
clared read for the second time and taken up for third reading and fin-
al passage, was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Roberts ~Rurray Greenamyer
Noes : 'T'rustee Gordy
Absent: Trustee Tweedy
Under remarks on the above motion Trustee Gordy asked the
meaning of the proposed Ordinance and protested passage of same stat-
ing that it would involve the City in litigation.
Trustee Roberts stated that it would regulate the indiscrimi-
nate distribution of printed matter throughout the City, and explained
that it would in no way affect legitimate distributions but would en-
able people to protect themselves a~zainst having their property litter-
ed against their wishes.
Said Ordinance was read for the third and last time and on
motion b~* Trustee Roberts seconded by Trustee Murray the same was plac-
ed upon final passage, whereupon said Ordinance being Ordinance No 61
was passed by the following vote:
Ayes : `T'rustees Roberts "hurray Greenamyer
Noes: Trustee Gordy
Absent: Trustee Tweedy
The City F~gineer reported that proEzress was being made on
~~'the construction of the A~etropolitan Sewer System, that contracts co~-
ering the construction of the System in the vicinity of Lynwood would
~` be awarded in a few weeks and that a ceptic tank would be installed in
the vicinity of Pomin~iez Junction for the use of districts one and
~'. two, that construction on said ceptic tank would start in Iviay and be
completed in about six months.
New Bus A Resolution entitled "A Resolution of the Board of `T'rustees
of the City of Lynwood, Cal., re-transferring the sum of Five Hundred
Dollars 0500.00) from the Clerk's Street Improvement P'und to the Gen-
eral Fund," was read. E?n motion by Trustee Murra~~ seconded by Trustee
C,ord~,* said Resolution being Resolution No 2Es9 was adopted by the foi-
lowinR vote:
Ayes: Trustees Roberts Gordy ~durray Greenamyer .
Noes: None _
Absent : Trustee `T'weedy
A motion by Trustee Murray seconded by Trustee Roberts that
the Acting City Engineer be instructed to discontinue work on the local
,sewer system until further notice, and that he file a report covering
`work already done and his bill for same, said report to be filed by
PM".arch 10 1926, was carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Roberts Murray t.ireenamyer
Noes: None
Absent : Trustee Tweed~*
Not Voting: Trustee t~ordy
Water Commissioner Murray spoxe on the matter of furnishing
transportation for labor in the 'dater Department, stating that at the
present time a private car was bein~C used, the pity was supplying gas
and oil, and the owner paid ~4 per day for his labor and use of car.
fie asked the opinion of the Board in this matter. After a short dis-
cussion the same was laid over to next meeting.
