Adjourned Regular Meeting March 31 1926

The Board of Trustees of the Citv of Lynwood met in adjourned
regular session at the City Hall 205 West Mulford Avenue iNednesday March
31 1926 at 7:30 pm
Present: Trustees Tweedy Gordy Murray Greenamyer
Absent: Trustee Roberts
City Attorney, Engineer and Clerk present
President Greenamyer in the Chair
The minutes of the meeting of March 24 were read and approved.
Writ Coms A referendum petition purported to have been signed by 237
qualif ied electors of the City of Lynwood asking that Ordinance No 61
passed on the 3rd day of March 1926, be referred to the electors of the
City of Lynwood pursuant to the provisions of Act No 3093-B of the State
of California, was read and referred to the Clerk for checking.
A csommunication was read from the Lynwood Funeral Parlors of-
fering free~'ambuZance~'service to the City. On motion made and carried
said offer was accepted with thanks.
A communication was read from Mrs M C. Thomas calling the at-
tention of the Board to a certain destitute family residing on Poplar
Drive. A motion by Trustee Gordy seconded by Trustee. Tweedy that this
matter be referred to the City .Clerk with authority to act, and that a
credit of X25 be allowed for this purpose to reli8ve immediate want, was
carried by the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Tweedy C,ordy Murray Greenamyer
Noes: None
Absent: Trustee Roberts
A petition from the Veterans Welfare Board asking tax exemption
on certain parcels of land owned by the said Board .was referred to the
gym.--- City Attorney for reaoritrnendation.
tTnf Bus A diagram showing the. district to be assessed to pay the costs
' and expenses for the work or improvement done under Resolution of Tnten-
' tion No 265, was presented by the City Engineer.. A motion by Trustee Mur-
ray seconded by Trustee Tweedy that said diagram be approved, was carried
by the following vote

Absent: Trustee Roberts
New Bus A map of Tract 8086 was presented to the Board in accordance
with the provisions of Chapter.349 of the Statutes and Amendments to the
Codes of the State of California. A motion by Trustee Murray seconded by
Trustea Tweedy that said map be approved as presented, was carried by
the following vote:
Ayes: Trustees Tweedy Gordy Murray Greenamyer
Noes: None
Absent: Trustee Roberts
Mrs Sehrimsher asked the voting status on school matters of
electors residing in that portion of Belle-Vernon Acres annexed to the
City of Lynwood July 12 1924. This was referred to the City Attorney.
