Mulford Avenue, ~Jednesday, May I1th, at £3 P. M. President Greenamyer in the chair Present: Trusties Greenamyer, Tweedy, Rice and Murray Absent: Trustee Roberts Clerk pr essnt Demand of Lynwood Transfer Company for ~1B.00 for cement presented. Moved by Trustee Tweedy, seconded bzr Trustee Rice, that said demand be al3orred. Ayes: Tweedy, Rice, Greenamyer and Murray Noes: None Motion carried and so ordered Communication from Cox Estes & Downey with reference to dtunpING at the .end of Ester Street received and upon statement of Street l~uperintendent, that said dump eras at Compton and not at Lynwood. Clerk was instructed to communicate the proper authorities of Compton in reference thereto. Communication from Mrs. Isabel Dunham with reference to her lot was received and Clerk instructed to write her that the City had taken no steps to condemn her property. Bonds were offered by City Treasurer and Clerk. Moved by Trustee Murz~a~ and seconded by Rice, that said bonds be approved and filed. ' Motion carried and so ordered Mr. Iverson addressed the board with reference to an ~~~r camp signs being placed along Long Beach Boulevard. He was advised t t as long as there was na ob~eetion he had permission to erect such a sign , but such signs should be placed where it would i~ot obstruct thg view. --,~~w.-~~t,~.~.~ ~~ineer Miller gave comparative extimate of cost of rei# fog8ed::~pape and redwood pipe for ureter ma , and suggested that no reinforced pipe be accepted f~c~r- ns. Resignation of C. W. Roberts as `a'rustee was offerred. Motion was made by Trustee Tweedy, seconded by Murray, that the off ice of City Attorney be declared vacant. Roll call Ayes: Tweedy, Skelton, Murray and GreenamyQr, Rice not voting Motion carried and so ordered President Greenamyer appointed Trustee Tweedy as Superinten- dent of Streets and Parks acid Trustee Rice as Police and Fire Comrnis- sioner. Vilven that it was the intention ~:fi widening Elmwood Street to take 16 feet off of the south side of earns at the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Elmwood Street and remainder that might be needed,from the north side of said Street.
