The Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood met in regular
session at the city hall 205 W.Mulford Ave in the City of Lynwood
at 8.00 P.M,Tuesday evening Jul; X3,1926.

Present;Trustees Murray,Tweedy,Skelton,Rice,President Greenamyer
absent.City Engineer and City Attorney present,Trustee Murray Presid-
ent pro.tem.in the chair.
Minutes of the last meeting were read,at the suggestion of Trust-
ee Skeltron the permit to moove dirt from Parkways was corrected to read,
City clerk issue permit on approval of Supt of Streets.Minutes approved
as corrected.
Communications;
A communication from the Safety Stop people was read.On motion of Trust
ee Rice and seconded by Trustee Tweedy same was laid over investigation
Motion carried and so ordered,
A communication from Planning commission requesting Council,City
Attorhey,and Cit9 Enginee~,represent the City at a meeting of the
regional Plannigg Commission of the County of Ifoa An~;e~es to be held. at
the pity Clufl,City of Los Angeles Thursdas* ~i~~n~~=and~~afternoon,July 15,
1926.Mooved that invitation be accepted and that Trustees Murray and
Rice accompany the Engineer and Attorney.
A communication from the City of South~Cate with reference to the
Widening of State Street,Motion made bq Trustee Rice and seconded by
Trustee Skelton,that the City of, South Gate be Not if ied that it is the
sense of the Board of Trustees of the. City of Lynwood that South Gate
be Granted jurisdiction as requested,provided the plans meet the app-
roval of the Board of Trustbes of the City of Lynwood and that they
submit plans as early as possible for their approval.

A communication from J,R,Branson requesting three ~3) Dollars
for mowing weeds on lot used by Chamber of Commerce far Carnival of
Lights.On motion o.f Trustee Rice seconded by mrustee Tweedy and duly
carried,same was carried over to next meeting.~-
Ordinance No 70 was offered for first reading.Mooved by Trustee
Rice seconded by Trustee Tweedy that same be passed on for eonsiderat-
ion,Motion carried and so ordered,
Mr Campbell spoke on proposed Santa Fe Blvd extension,Chamber of
dommerce was represented by Ghas moods and Mr.Miller and showed that
the proposed ext®ndion will destroy the industrial district,The Board
requested that the matter of the extension be refered to the Regional
Planing Commission at the meeting to be held, July 15,
Trustee Rice of the committee requested more time to report.
City Engineer made report on a system of sewers for the Gity. ~
Mooved by Trustee Tweedy,seconded by Trustee Rice that the report be
approved and d~c~e~ed Bled and the Engineer ordered to eat accordingly.

the violation of same;was offered for third reading,Mooved by Trustee
Tweedy and seconded by Trustee Rice that same be adopted,

City Engineer reported on Banning Street and offered Resolution
No 295 adopting a plan for Improving Banning Ave,,and levying assess-
ments to pay for same.Moeved by Trustee Tweedy and seconded by Trustee
Rice that the Resolution be adopted.

Resolution of Intentions No 28~ Providing for the improvement
of Banning Street and creating an assessment District to pay for same,
Mooved by Trustee Tweedy and seconded by Trustee Skelton that same be
approved as per Map filed in connection with Same

The Matter of compensation for cx-City Engineer Geo.A.~ehwabaland ~-~
was discussed.Also the matter of .compensation for Mr.Miller the present ~`~
City Engineer was taken up and ordered passed to the next me.eti~g for
' consideration.
It was mooved by Trustee Riate and seconded by Trustee Tweedy that
the Demands as shown by"the Schedule filed be allowed and ~~arrants be
drawn for the- same.
