Airport Advisory Committee
March 2nd, 2006 – Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 1206 local with members, Frankie Romero,
Dan Scott and Chairman John Seevers present, along with councilmember Don
Bailey. Members Gordon Eccles and Jerry McCauley were absent. Additional
persons attending were Rick Harvey (Airport Manager), Kevin Bissell (Toothman-
Orton). Eight people were in public attendance.
Minutes
¾ The minutes from the February, 2006 meeting were reviewed and
approved
Public Comment:
¾ None
Airport Manager’s Report:
¾ Snow Removal Equipment - Update
¾ Snow Removal Program – Update
- Hired Help Situation
- End of Season Plan
- Note: Comments were made about the large snow berms
and it was decided that a NOTAM would be issued to alert
transient aircraft
- Gates – the gates have been locked up in order to prevent
further ice and snow damage
¾ New Loader Acquisition – Update
- expecting delivery around the 15th of March
¾ AIP Grant Applications – Update
- all grant paper work has been completed and submitted
- This year’s projects have been:
• Fencing
• Asphalt repair / sealing
• New loader
• Master Plan
¾ Master Plan – Update
- Formation of PAC
• 12 members of the community with airport interest, chaired by Dan
Scott
• Formed on the 20th of February
- Kick Off meeting
• Met with the PAC on the morning of the 21st of February
• Briefed City Council and public the night of the 21st.
¾ Hangar Waiting List – Update
• Original list had 95 people
