The Board of Trustees of the City of Lynwood, met in regular ;.:~- session at trxe City Ha11 Tuesday evening, February 8th, 1927 at 7:30, P. ~~, at 3221 ~1ulford avenue. Present: '~rustees Tweedy, Skelton, --rice, i+~urray ancz Greenamyem Ainsent: none City Attorney B. A. Rayne and Gity ~nginesr Robert B. Tiller, were present. minutes of previous meeting were read and approved as read. resolution fro~i~. t-ire Board of Trustees of file Lugo School District regarding, the opening of ce:°tain streets in connection with a new site is the southwest section of town, was read. It was ~.oved by Trustee ~~Turray and seconded by Trustee Rice, that the City co-operate ,,,,~, in this matter and that the City ~gineer be instructed to consult with the architect of the School District and draw tentative plans for the opening of said Streets and submit same as soon as possible. ~Iction '" was carried and so ordered. petition regarding the opening and improving of Oak Street , was read. It was moved by Trustee Rice and seconded by ~~rustes Skelton, teat same be referred to tl~.e City Clerk for checking. P,~otion was carried and so ordered. x letter from Badger ~ Dei~iitt declaring their intentions for. the platting and subdividing of the one hundred acres adjoining the City of Lynwood and known as Century SquarE,and requesting that the nec- sssary pro~eec~ings be institutea:.~to,brii~g C~ntr Square into the Corporate limits of the City of Lynwood b_; Resolution of the Board of Supervisors, was read. It was move4 ~y Trustee ~riurray .and seconded by Tweedy that the Board of Trustees approve the request i=tsofar as they are now advised. Motion was carried and so ordered. Two copies of an easement for a drainage culvert under the i'acific Right of way, approximately 100 fe:_t east of Lon; Beach Boulevard, was submitted for approval and necessary signatures. It was mowed b; Trustee Rice and seconded by Skelton that same be approved tend signed and t:e necessary work ordered. Reolution approveMing spsci- f ic~tions, was read. It was moved by Trustee Rice and seconder by Trustee Hurray that same be adopted. Roll Call: Ayes Trustees Tweedy, Skelton, nice, ~~ur-ray and Greenamyer Noes: clone Trustee Tweedy requested that the Board of Trustees ~:urc_.ase a new one-ton trucl~ for the use of the street department, the old truck now in use to be turned in as pa_~t of first payment. It :vas moved by Tastes Rice and seconded by ~irustee Murray that Trustees Tweedy and Skel- ton be given authority to investigate and purchase a suitable truck. Gray requested certain information regarding the impr ve- ment of 114th Street and was andwered by City Attorney Rayne on reques, of the President of the Board. City Attorney Rayne repoted that the matter of a supposed sixortgage of funds during the term of office of the previous City Clerk, was being presented to District A.:torneyts off ice and that civil action would be instituted it the recorders Court in the City of Lynt~ood at once for the recovery of money due the City of Lynwood, A number of demands as shorn by a schedule by tine Gity Clerk, tivsre read. It was moved by Trustee nice and seconded by Trustee Tweedy tn.at same be allowed and warrants drawn on the Treasurer for the -~ amounts.
