Present: 'Trustees Tweedy, Rice, R?urray and Greenamyer. Absent: Trustee Skelton City Attorney :Etayne and City Engineer I~iiller, were present. The minutes of the previous meeting was read and approved as read. The time having arrived for the opening of bids for the purchase of immediate possession bonds undc,r A. 8c I, Districts No. 4 and 6, it vvas moved Tweedy and Seconded by Trustee mice that said bids be opened. The follo~,ving firms submitted bids under A. ~ I. District No . 4 and 6 : The Llmer J. Kennedy Company Redfield Van Evers ~ c;ompany under A. ~. I. District No . 4 Res olution Pao. 405 awarding bonds~to Redfield Van Evers £~ Company for par, plus premium of 512.00 and accrued interest from date of sale , was read. It was moved b~~ Trustee nice and seconded by Trustee hurray that same be adopted. Roll Call: Ayes ; Trustees Tweedy, Riee , I~~~urray and Greenamyer. Noes: None. Absent: `~-rustee Skelton. Resolution No. 406, Awarding Bonds under A. &. I. Distri~;t No. 6, to Redfield V~,n Evers & Company for par, plus premium of X438.00 and accrued interest from date of sale, was read. It was moved by Trustee Ylurray and seconded by Trustee 'Tweedy that same be adopted. Roll Call; Ayes; Trustees Tvreed-, Mice, r~~urray and Greenat~,yer. Noes None. Absent• 't'rustee Skelton. It was moved b~;~ 'trustee Murray and seconded by Trustee 't'weedy that the bids for improvement under A. & I. District No. 6 be opened. 2;~otion wa carried and so ordered. Dudle y It was raoved by Trustee Riee and seconded by 't'rustee Tweedy that the above bids be referred to the City Engineer for checking. 2~~otion was carried and so ordered. A Communication from the Los Angeles Count~t Health Depart- ment calling the attention of the Board of Trustees t~.5 certain un- healthy conditions eiristing in and about the City Hall, was read. It was moved by Trustee Rive and seconded by Trustee Tweedy that the Clerk be instructed to write the Health Department explaining the situation as it now exists. Motion was carried and so ordered. A Notice of Intention to Circulate a Petition for annexation in certain territory contiguous to the City of Zynwood and signed by J . ~l . PaPa.rsha 11, 1~. ~. Harley, '~z~(. D. r:~orris , Sarah E . r~orris and G'v'illiam 1~..~c+~lynn, was presented and read. It was moved. by Trustee `l'c~'eedy and seconded by Fl'rust~:e Riee that same ~be aevepted and filed. r~~otion was carried and so ordered. Ordinance No. 92, Regulating Sanitary Condition ;within or surrounding g"arkets, Shops, Groceries, Restuarants and other places, where food and drink are prepared in the Ci ~' of Lynwood, was read for the first time . It was moved by Trustee Riceland seconded by Trustee Tweedy that same be accepted as read the first time and passed to the second reading. It vvas moved by `.~rustcye Rice and Seconded by Trustee """~ ~.Turray that City Engineer T:'iller be instructed to prepare plans and specifications under r.. ~. I. District loo. 16, other~w~ise known as Calif- ornia Street and the Clerk be iris trueted to re west jurisdiction from the Board of supervisors .
