T:'. Present : Trustees Tweedy, Skelton, Anderson and. Murray • Absent: Trustee Greenamyer. Engineer f?iller was present. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved with the exception of th€~t part relating to acceptance of ]!ta.~tr of Tra,et No . 10164, said map being approved by C3t~r Engineer Hewitt instead of Rngineer miller. A Communication from Clerk of Christian vcience society of Lynwood thanking the Board for floral offering, Sunday July 15th, was read and ordered filed. An application for employment of C . E. 3osson, 3265 Pople.r AvF,nue, was read. It wss moved b: Trustee T~ eedy and seconded by Trustee Skelton thRt same be received and placed on file. I~'otian was carried and so ordered. A Communication from County Surveyor of Los Angeles Count~l relating to the prepa.'ration of plans for the improvement of trYe fol- lowing streets under the Mattoon Act: Tweedy Road from boundary of Los ingeles to Atlantic: Ave; S€~nta Fe Ave. from yernon to Compton, et al. Their proposed improvements lying ps.rtly in the City of Zyn- wood, information requested as to the advisability of including cast iron water mains as part of these improvements so as to prevent break- ing into the pavement for water mains and service. It was moved by Trustee Tweedy and seconded by Trustee Anderson that this communication be referred to 'later Superintendent to report on at next meeting. T:".o- tion was carried and so ordered. A Communication from Long Beach Boulevard Impro vement Ass :n . n~riting tTie Council to attend meeting and dinner at Breaker's Hotel at Long Beach Thursday August 7th, at 6:30 P.?~i."'was read, and same was ordered filed. A Communication from Badger & DeWitt relative to placing of Real Estate office at Coerner of Sanborn and .Atlantic Avenue , structure to be removed at any time. Peter was Pound to be the lowest regular and responsible bidder. City Attorney Hayne reported back on the communication from • Conealidated Utilities Company (telephone serviced relative to the erection oY a building on Lot 613, Tract 2992 on ti~Jest L~-nv~"ood Road in the Cite of Lynwood and waiving certain rights owned by the said L'ity, stating that he had prepared a resolution, which resolution is entitled ^- "RBSOLUTION NO. 541, WAIVING CERTAIN RIGHTS 0`v"~NED IlY THE CITY OF LPN- . Wt~OD AFFECTING LOT 613 ON VYEST LYNWOOD ROAD, CITY OF LYNWOOD; which said resolution was read.
