Engineer Driller and Cit;- Attorne?.~ HatTne were present. The minutes of the previos meeting were read and approved as read. A Communication from the Chamber of Commerce of Santa Cruz, asking ca-operation of the Cit Council of I~~nwood in securing the 1929 Convention of the I;eague of California ruunicipalities for that City. It was moved b~ Trustee Tweedy and seconded b~T 'I'~ustee ~inderson that same be received and placed on file. notion was carried and so ordered. -- .~ Communication from Consolidated Utilities Company of Compton, enclosing blue prints for proposed pole lines on Peach Street, extending from T~orton Avenue to Oakwood Avenue; also on the easements at the rear of property facing on the east side of Tong Beach Boule- vard extending from Fernwood Avenue to the southern amity limits, wad read. The time having arrived for tP:e hearing of objections and protests in the r;Satter of Acquisition and Improvement No. 23 of the City of lym:~~ood, the ~rlayor asked the CitS~ Clerk if there had been any written objections or protests in this matter filed in his of the Clerk reported th,~t no such protests or ob jections had beencfild. The Mayor then asked if there were any objections ar protests to the grades to which this improvement is to be constructed, and there was no response .
