Adjourned Regular Meeting-,March-19th+1929
The Board of Trustees ,now known as the City. Council of
the Citg of Lynwood,met in Adjourned Regular Session,Tueday evening,
March 19th.at seven-thirty oclock,at City Ha11,11331 Plaza 8~treet .
Present: Trustee Tweedy,Skelton,Anderson,Greenamyer,Murray.
Engineer Miller present.
The minutes of the previous meeting,March 12th.read and
approved- as read.
~-~+ Communication from the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles
County,enclosing copy of Resolution adopted by them on March 12th.1929,
_ granting consent to the City of Lynwood for impxovement of portion of
Centuary Boulevard lying within the County of Los Angeles.Moved and
carried that this be laid over.
Petition received from the San Gabriel Valley Protective
Association in regard to amending the present Flood-Control Act,plac-
ing the, government of said Flood Control Act District in the hands of
a Board of Directors,elected by the voters of; the Distret,instead of
being subject ,to any political features involved in Los Angeles County
Government<.Under the change proposed it would create an independent
Board.It was moved and carried that communication be held over for
further discussion.
Letter from Independent Title Oompany of Los Angeles,
addressed to City Attorney Hayne,stating they will furnish the
neceessary title work in the matter of Acquisition and Improvement
District No.25,for the stun of ~105.OO,this to include a first or
peliminary report showing all parties in interest fox the purpose
of the Complaint ,but will nat include Municipal Liens of the City
of.Lynwood.On motion of Trustee Greenamyer,seeonded by Trustee
Anderson that offer be accepted and search be made.

Letter from Arthur M.E11is,Attorney,Los Angeles to
City Attorney Hayne relating to payment of X327?.2? ,due B.A.~iayne,
;~ ~ in the matter of Acquisition & Improvement District,No.l9,of the
City of Lynwood.The above amount is one-half of the remainder of
the compensation due City Attorney ,and the payment of this is au-
thorized when the amount due has been collected in by the City.
Communic~.tion given to City Treasurer.Motion by Trustee Greenamyer,
seconded by Trustee Skelton.

In the matter of Acquisition and Improvement District
No.25,of the City of Lynwood,on motion of Trustee Tweedy seconded by
Trustee Anderson,R.E.Day,A.W.Nelson and Fred Marts were appointed
appraisers.

It was moved by Trustee Greenamyer,and seconded by
Trustee Anderson that the City Clerk be instructed to confer with t}~e
""'- City Attorne~r relative to proposed amendent to Water Ordinance ,
making it compulsory for property owners to pay for water tap when
making application for building permit.Motion carried and so ordered.
