April 19th.were read and approved as read.
Communication from C,H.Scha.rnikow ,Atty.Los ~.n~eles,
~~ relating to storm ureter on the pxoperty of Frank Bober,3603 Sar~.born xvc.
!"'-"~ynwood,claiming same injures Mr.Hober's place and asking the City to take
'steps to remedy this condition.Gn motion of Trustee Greenamyer,seconded
by Trustee 9kelton~clerk was instructed to write the Attorney in regard
to the matter.Motion carried and so ordered.
Two petitions Prere presented to the Board,one signed.
by Mrs.J.N.Tizor and sixteen othe~ residents ,a.nd one signed by Carrie
C.Scherer,Frank M.Downey and M.J. ay,asking the Board to open up ~tieber
Avenue to relieve the overflow from Golden Avenue during the rainy season.
Under the-present drainage system the water on Golden Avenue backs up
and overflows the yards,lawns and paxkin~;s,and also makes it impossible
for pedestrians to cross the street.It was moved by Trustee Tweedy,sec-
oned by Trustee GreenPxnyer,that this be referred to Engineer Diller as
a committee of one to investigate the matter.Motion carried and so orc.ered.
It vras moved by Trustee Skelton,and se^onded by Trusted
Tweedy that the taxes on account of condemnation proceedings in the matter
of Acquisition and Improvement Districts No.4 axed 6,a.maunting to 689.58 ,
be paid. Roll Call:

Communication from Caroline Bryant of the V~ater Dept.
office asking for an increase in salary of twenty five dolla.•rs per month.
On motion of Trustee Greenamyer,seconded by Trustee Tweedy,it r~ra,s decided
to allow Mrs.Brya.nt an increase of twenty do112.r~ per month,effective May lst.

Referring to the communication of Claude C.McIntyre of
the Southern Development Co. of Long Bea.ch,at the meeting of April 1Gth.,
rels.tive to Bond covering street work in Tract 9337 only,and asking the
Engineering Department of the City of Lynwood to 0 K this vrork,as they
did net wish to renew: bond,it v~ra.s moved by Trt~stee Skelton and seconded
by Trustee Greenamyer,that P•~r.Mclntyre be released from this bond.

In this s~,.me com~~~anication,Mr.McIntyre requested an ex-
tension of one year on the bond for Tract 9288,covering sidevaalks ,curbs
a.nd street work .On'motion of Trustee Tweedy seconded by Trustee ~~nderson,
the extension was granted.

Tweedy,that the City Clerk write to the P~~cific Electric R~.ilwa.y in rega.xd
to the set-back or adjustment of their station on Long Beach Boulevard and
,,_ Fernwood.As it now stands the waitir~ room projects approximately eleven
feet on the hig2~-v:~ay .Motion carried and so ordered.
