Minutes of previous meeting read and approved as read.
Communications :Letter fro~- J.P.Janicr~,Contractor,asking permission to
use a certain process of curing concrete in'lieu of the dirt and water
do his-contract knov:m as California Street;Aca~uisition and Improvement
~"'"'No.lE;of the City of Lynwood claiming this will give better satisfac-
` ~ tion and speed up the woxk.The matter was discus;-ed at length but no
~,{actian taken.
~~ ~ Letter received from F.F.Branthoovex,10812 San Jose St.
relating to water bill made out to G.C.Doyle,and paid by Mr.Bra.nthoover.
under protest.Mr.Branthoover asks to be reimbursed .It wa.s moved by Tl.
Skelton seconded by Trustee Tweedy that the City Clerk be instructed to
~rrite to Mr.Branthoover ,explainin~.~ the situation.Motion carried-and so
ordered.
The City Treasurer presented a report of Receipts ~~.nd
Disbu.rsements,of the Bond Redemtion Fund,a.s of Fiscal Yeax January 1st.
to March 31st.1929.On motion of Trustee Anderson,seconded by Trustee
t~seenamyer,the report was accented and ordered filed.Mation carried and
so ordered.
RESOLUTION N0.634,A Resolution relating to the abatement
of Dry and Dying weeds on certain lots in the City of LynPaood,under Act. s/y~
5197 of the Legislature of the State of California,w-ws read.It was moved
by Trustee Anderson,seconded. by Trustee Tweedy that Resolution No.630 be
adopted. Roll Call;
Ayes; Trustee Tweedy,Skelton,Andersan,Greenamyer,l~urray.
Noes; None
Grant Deed ,also Contract ,from Hugh D.Lestex,conveying
certain paxcels of land in the Carson Tract ,to the City of Lynn-ood,for
street purposes,a,nd asking City to accept s.~me.On motion of trustee
''~ Tweedy seconded by Trustee Shelton,this be referred to City Atty.Ha,yne
for approval.Motion carried and so ordered..
In regard. to the a.~?~li.ca.tion of. the City of L,Tnwood
~'ox perrr-is~on to construct stree~`cros~ing over the Southern Pc cific
Railroad ~.t grade in Lynwood,the Railroad Comrnis~ion of the State of
C~ lifornia ha,s been advised under dG.te of April 29th.,that the City of
Lynv~road is ready and willing to raise the grade of Alameda, Street.In
connection with this seven maps were forwarded to to the Railroad Com-.
mission ,to be attached to the origina.7. pet3.tion,one copy to the Southern
Pacific,and that the grade crossing be authorized ,with the condition
.that Alameda. Street first be raised in accordance with the blue prints.
