REGULAR MEETING,JULY 23,1929

The Board of Trustees now known as the Oity Council of the
City o~ Lynwood met in Regular Session Tuesday evening,July 23rc~.at
the City Ha11,11331 Plaza Street,at sevez~. thirty o'clock.
RO11 Call: -
Present.. Trustees Tweedy,Skelton,Anderson,Lewis,Murray
Engineer Miller and Oity Attorney Rayne were presemt.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approv-
ed as read.
Oommunications:
' Letter from Water Supt.of the City of Lynwood in regard
to amending 'Water Ordinance No.117,Section 5,a1so making other changes
relating to the charges for water for lawns etc.was referred to Commis-
ioner Anderson.
Letter from the Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles Oounty
enclosing copy of Resolution ado tad by them under date of July 16th.,
authorizing an appropriation of 745.00 from the Good Roads Fund of the
Countp,for the widening and paving of the railroad crossing on Atlantic
Boulevard over the tracks of the aeifia Electric Railroad.It was moved
by Trustee Tweedy,seeonded by Trustee Skelton,that Mayor Murray and Eng.
Miller,be empowered to proceed with application and to ta'~e all neeces-
sary steps in connection with this matter.

Letter from Faulkner,0akes and Faulkner,Certified Public
Aecountants,Los Angeles relating to bid for annual audit of the books
of the Oitp.Moved and carried that eommunioation be received and filed.
Invitation to the members of the Board to attend the Ded-
ication Service of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Lynwood,at their
new~ahurch ho~me,Lynwood Road and Mod~eska Boulevard,July 21st..Clert was
ix~struoted to write and thank them for the invitation.
Second coanmunication reoei#ed from Mrs.~t.J.Bonnigson ,3335
Tweedy-Abbott Road regarding the dust on that street in her immediate
vicinity was referred to Street Commissioner,Tweedy.
Proposed ordinance regarding the distribution of advertis-
ing matter etc,in the City of Lynwood was laid over indefinately on mo-
tion of Trustee Anderson seconded by Trust®e Skelton.
Ordinance No.12fi,An Ordinance regulating the riding of
byeicles and scooters upon the sidewalks in the City of Lynwood was
presented.It~ivas moved by Trustee Anderson seconded by Trustee weedy,
that same be accepted as read the first time and passed to the second

raising of dogs in the City limits.
Letter received from Huntington Park Lodgge No.1415,B.P. -
O.E ,addressed to the Board and Chief of Polies,thanking them for
their assistance in the Elks National Oonvention Parade held recently

4n Ordinance granting to Southern Pacific Oompany,a Oorporation
operating a steam railroad doing an interstate b~siness,its
guccessore and assigns ,the right to construct and maintain a
$pur trek across Alameda Street south of Lynwood Road in the
~,_,_, Oity of LYnwoeSd,0alifornia,was intrcduoed by Mayor Murray.
On motion of Trustee Lewis:seconded by Trustee Skeltonsthe
above entiled Ordinance was ordered held over till the asst
meeting,July 80th.
