Subject: Public Record Request - permit for work proposed in "Waters of the State" at 700
Wright Way
Dear Custodian of Records,
I am writing you again regarding my interest in discovering and inspecting any information I can find
in the Town's public records about the Town using the Waters of the State. By Waters of the State I
mean any water within the Town's boundaries that the State of Florida and the Town recognize to
be Waters of the State.
At this time I am requesting to inspect public records related to the Town's approval of activities by
owners of property adjacent to Waters of the State which may impact Waters of the State and the
submerged lands lying beneath Waters of the State. By example I request to inspect information
about one such property.
I request a certified copy of each page 1 through page 18 (18 pages total) of the construction
permit approved by the Town of Gulf Stream for work to be performed in Waters of the State in
a zone located between the eastern edge of the Intracoastal Waterway (also known as the
ICW) and the western property line of the property known as PCN 20434603130000010 (also
known as 700 Wright Way). Specifically, the public record is identified on your agency's
website as Town of Gulf Stream permit #5087 and Palm Beach County Building Division (also
known as the Town's Building Department) Permit #608019542 (the entire permit public record
also known as B08019542 (5087)).
To help you expedite production of this permit I provide the following URL address from your agency's
website where the Town's electronic copy of the public record is published:
http://www2.g u If-strea m.org/web I i n k/0/doc/55428/Page 1. aspx
This public record file is part of the online sequence of folders found by following the Town's website
links to wit:
Town -of -Gulf -Stream > Building Department > Land File > Address > Wright
Way > 700 > BO8019542 (508700) Boat Lift
I agree to pay the statutory fees incurred by you for the production of the 18 certified responsive
documents so there is no need to notify me of any estimates for deposits. Let me know the amount
due and when the certified records are ready to pick up and I will come right over to Town Hall to
retrieve them.
I hope I have provided you with enough information so you may locate, copy and certify these public
records with the least amount of effort or delay.
I make this request pursuant to Article 1, Section 24 of the Florida Constitution and Chapter 119 of
the Florida Statutes. I hereby reserve all rights granted to me under the Florida
Constitution and Florida Statutes.
I ask you to take note of §119.07(1)(c) Florida Statues and your affirmative obligation to (1)
promptly acknowledge receipt of this public records request and (2) make a good faith effort which
"includes making reasonable efforts to determine from other officers or employees within the agency
whether such a record exists and, if so, the location at which the record can be accessed."
If you do not understand any part of this request or if you need clarification about this request, notify
me as soon as possible so I may further describe or clarify this request. Due to issues of delivery
failure and occasional rejection by your server this email is being sent to multiple recipients to insure
prompt delivery.
All responses to this public records request should be made in writing to the following email address:
