The Board of Trustees now known ae the City Council o-f the
City of Lynwood,met in adjourned regular session,Tuesday evening,0etober
lat.at seven-thirty oclock ,at the City Ha11,11331 Plaza Street.
Roll Call:
Present: Trustees Tweedy,Skelton,Anderson,Lewis,Murray
Engineer Miller was present.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved
as read.
Letter received from the Committee of the Association of
City Planners. of Los Angeles County in regard to uniform street names ,
"""requesting the Oity Oouncil to co-operate with them in the effort to
.eliminate duplieationg in street naming in the County of Los Angeles.
...Also suggesting that the City Council of Lynwood address a communication
to the Huntington Park City Oouaeil recommending that Pacific Boulevard
in'Huntington Park be renamed Long Beach Boulevard.Olerk was°instructed
to write the City Council of Huntington Park endorsing this movement for
uniform naming of streets.Motion by Trustee Lewis,seconded by Txustee
Anderson. Roll Call: -

Communication received from the County Surveyor of Los
Angeles County relating to Acquisition & Improvement Distriet,No.252,
Banta Fe Avenue.The Oounty df Los Angeles proposes to open widen and
extend Santa Fe Avenue from the southerly boundary of Vernon ,thru the
City of Lynwood to the City of Compton.The County Surveyor suggests
that VGiley Street in the City of ,Lynwood,be ohanged to Santa Fe Avenue,
and that Belle Vernon Boulevard to be established as Ss,nta Fe Avenue,
and requests the O~ity Council of Lynwood to,take action in this matter
as soon as possible.On motion of Trustee Tweedy,8econded by Trustee`
Lewis the Council decided to comply with this request ,and same was'
referred to b~ngineer Miller. `

Communication from Oity of South gate tasking for
authorization for eieetric~energy to be used in the lighting of State
• Street,on aecount-of celebration Ootober ~th.Cierk was directed to
write to South Gate ,it is the intention of the City Council of Lyn-
wood ,to continue paying fox the electric°energy out of funds frdm
the°lighting°assessment district in the Wawona Park territory.

10°and 9ec.tton 10 1/2 of Ordinance No.73,of the City of Lynwood,knownl
as -" The Business License Ordinance " ,was read for the first`time.It
was moved by Trustee Lewis,seconded by Trustee Skelton,that same be
accepted as read for the first time and laid over for the second and
third reading. _
