F~; Ave, in the City of Lyn- wood,the Clerk having written them same weeks ago.At this time no reply hd.ving been received ,Mr.r1.J.Batemen,,City engineer ,wa,s instructed to see the County Engineer,and. find out,hovy the matter is progressing.Mr. ~etsom was invitee to accompG.ny Mr,Batemax~. Mr.Morgan of 3562 Oxch~rd Avenue thanked the 'Council ,_,,, for the efficient work done by the Supt.of Streets ~in the way of repair- ing Orchard Avenue ,and stated the street is now in fine condition.In the matter of ,signs restricting heavy trnffic on Orchard,Mr.Morgan wa,s informed this will be taken care of.- Ddrs.R.B.Shepherd,addressed the Council on behalf of a.ll the Civic Organizations .in the Gity ®#' Lynwood;askin~ for the use of one of, the rooms at the City Ha.1.1 for temporary storage of clotY.ing and supplies during the Christmas period;articles contributed by people for the poor.It ;vas moved and carried that the request of Mrs.Shepherd be gxanted. Unfinished Business; 0n motion of Councilman Anderson,seconded bq by Councilman Tweedy,the City Treasurer was instructed to rebate H.A.Ide$enzie &: Louisa A•Me$enzie,the amount of their taxes paid this year on tkia,~ portion of their _pFOperty on Popular Drive ,the north~.~6 ft. of the south 154 feet of Lot A,this having been 8®eded to the pity for street purposes. Clerk was instructed to write to Ralph Kincaid ,owner of eleven acres of land in the northeast section of the City regarding having the weeds on his property removed. It was moved by Councilman Anderson seconded by Councilman Tweedy,tha.t the City Council agrees to contribute up to one hundred dollars for the Community Christmas Tree,Monday evenir~ , December 23rd.
