| DISTRICT APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR
� GRANT FUNDS FOR THE LOCAL AGENCY GRANT
PROGRAM—FISCAL YEAR 2OO7-0O0—UNDER THE |

HABITAT CONSERVATION FUND PROGRAM OPTHE �
CALIFORNIA WILDLIFE PROTECTION ACT OF 1940
FOR PURCHASE O[THE PENINSULA OPEN SPACE �
| TRUST MADONNA CREEK UPLANDS PROPERTY

WHEREAS, the people ofthe State of California have enacted the California Wildlife Protection
Act oflA0U, which provides funds tothe State of California for grants to local agencies to acquire and/or
� develop facilities for public recreational and fish and wildlife habitat protection purposes; and
�
WHEREAS,the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the responsibility
for the administration of a portion of tile program within the state, setting up necessary procedures
governing application 6v local agencies under the program; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established bythe State Department mf Parks and Recreation require |
the applicant{ocertify by Resolution the approval of application hefbo: submission of said application to
<he state; and
WHEREAS,the applicant will enter into an agreement with the State of California for acquisition
of the project; �
VV8ERB/\S, said application contains assurance with which the applicant must comply.

\. Approves the filing of all application ho the Habitat Conservation Fund Grant Program under
the California Wildlife Protection Act of 1990 for state grant assistance for the above project.
� 2. Cmrtificathat said applicant understands the assurances and certification in the application

� 3. Certifies that said applicant has or will have available, prior to commencement of any work
onthcp project in the match, and will have sufficient funds

to operate and mnaintuinthe pngect. |
� 4. Appoints the General Manager as agent of the District to execute and submit all documents
including, but not limited to, applications, agreements, amendments, and nn oil, which nmaybe '
necessary to comply with the requirements of the Habitat Conservation Fund Grant Program.
