Hart Commissioner J. Phil Hoyle Also attending: Richard F. Ward and Robert Mumma. Mayor Koch called the meeting to order and announced that the meeting had been called for the purpose of considering pay for Officer Mumma to take a Police training course in Boynton Beach beginning March 4, 1968. The course is four hours per day, five days a week for a total of 110 hours. Officer Mumma would attend during off -duty time. Following discussion on the matter, Mr. Iglehart moved that Officer Mumma be paid his regular salary computed on an hourly basis for the time he spends attending the training course. Mr. Hart seconded the motion. Motion passed. Mr. Iglehart asked for clarification on the hours of business for the Town Hall. The Deputy Town Clerk's hours were listed as from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday. During these hours it was pointed out that the Clerk's duties sometimes required that he leave the Town Hall for various lengths of time. After discussion it was agreed that the Clerk's hours would remain the same, but that the Town Hall hours would be from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and that any outside duties for the Town such as going to the bank, courthouse, etc. be scheduled for the last hour of the day. Also should an emergency arise during the Town Hall hours that would require the Clerk to leave, he would call in the Policeman on duty at that time to stand by until the Clerk returned. There being no further business to come before the Commission, the meeting was adjourned. ATTEST: DEPUTY TOWN CLERK
