E. Hayes seeking abandonment of that
way of old AIA lying in lots 1 and 2
Beach Shore Acres has been presented
and this petition is attached hereto
this resolution:

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town Commission of
the Town of Gulf Stream does hereby vacate and abandon that
portion of Old AlA as stated above and is in the petition.

HIIUTES CF THE MEETING OF THE TOIRI COMMISSION
SITTING AS THE BOARD OF EQUALIZERS ON:
September 11, 1965
The Town Commissioners of Gulf Stream Florida met at the Town
Hall in Gulf Stream, Florida, at 10 :06 A.M. on September 11 1965
to hear and consider complaints of the property owners and to
receive and equalize values of all real property and personal
property on the Town's Assessment Rolls as at January 1, 1965.
The Deputy Town Clerk called the Commissioners' attention to
Resolution #538 which set the date and time for the Equalization
meeting and to the fact that the equalization meeting was recessed
until August 11, 1965 and again recessed until September 11, 1965•
The Town's tax assessment roll was presented to the Commissioners
sitting as a Board of Equalizers by the Tom Tax Assessor. The
following summation of valuations was disclosed:
Total value of all real estate and improvements and tangible
personal property as recorded on the Town's Tax Assessment
Roll on January 1, 1965 ..... .................$17,248,545.00
Less: Exemptions ............................... 2241000.00
Total taxable value of real estate and
improvements and personal property ... ...... ..$17,024,545.00
The Toxin Tax Assessor reported that all valuations are the same
as prepared by the Palm Beach County Tax Assessor with the follow-
ing exceptions:
The assessment valuations being used by the Town for 1965 are the
same valuations as prepared by the Palm Beach County Tax Assessor
to convert his roll to 100% valuation over the 1964 roll which
was at 60% valuation. These valuations are being used to hold
all property valuations in the Town of Gulf Stream in approximate
same proportion as 1964.

The assessment valuations being used by the Town for 1965 are the
same valuations as prepared by the Palm Beach County Tax Assessor
to convert his roll to 100% valuation over the 1964 roll which
was at 60% valuation. These valuations are being used to hold

The Town Commission sitting as a Board of Equalizers, after
reviewing the tax roll and the valuations, passed the following
resolutions:
RESOLUTION #542
WHEREAS, the Town Commission, sitting as a Board of Equalizers on
September 11, 1965 between 10:00 A.M. and 12:01 P.M., did hear all
complaints by property owners of Gulf Stream, Florida? relative to
the values placed on property as of January 12 1965,did affirm and
agree that all valuations are fair, reasonable and just and
DO HEREBY RESOLVE that the Tax Assessment and Valuation Roll as
recorded by the Town Tax Assessor as of January 11 1965 be HEREBY
approved and adopted. It is hereby recorded that no taxpayer
tendered a written complaint to the Board of Equalizers during
the Equalization meeting.
RESOLUTION 71543
BE IT RESOLVED that the 1965 Tax Roll, as has on September 11,
1965 been equalized, be returned to the Tax Assessor and that the
Tax Assessor is hereby instructed and directed by the Town Com-
missioners to fix values on the said assessment roll, and we do
HEREBY DECLARE the said values to be equalized. The said values
shall not be altered in value except there be a change adopted
by Palm Beach County on their Tax Assessment Rolls, and these
changes must also be approved by the Town Commission.
RESOLUTION #544
BE IT RESOLVED, that all real and personal property as recorded
on the Town Tax Rolls for the year 1965, and as equalized on
September 11, 1965, be assessed at the rate of three (3.0) mills
for the taxable year - 1965.
The Deputy Town Clerk is hereby authorized to levy the tax of
three mills on each and every taxable piece of real and personal
property within the Town limits of Gulf Stream, Florida, for the
taxable year - 1965.
The meeting was adjourned at 12:01 P,M.
